From: Lias Leandros Many other residents feel that the human child avatar wearers should make more allowances in the name of common decency. But child avatars refuse to do so. So here we are. Common decency? LOL That would rule out an awful lot of what people enjoy in SL. Common decency, sheesh. OTHERS should conform to YOUR sense of common decency, right? Good luck with that! Evidently, you think that child avatars are the problem, therefore the onus should be on them to avoid it. The good news is that Lias is engaging in wishful thinking. SL isn't the way she wants it. Well, it's not the way I think it should be, in certain ways. Welcome to the monkey house.

From: Lear Cale Common decency? LOL The good news is that Lias is engaging in wishful thinking. SL isn't the way she wants it. The rules against child avatar activities that Linden Lab adopted are only based on common decency - nothing more. In 2007 a German blogger's wish came true.

From: Lias Leandros For all that is good and holy, please do not start posting stories about catching your parents having sex. Thank you. /me sings, "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus / underneath the mistletoe last night" Okay. I got it out of my system. .

From: Lias Leandros I Am not sure why this such an outrageous idea for you. Thousands of paying customers just abandoned parcels they paid for and deleted custom builds to comply with the new Adult classifications. That was an LL ruling, which was most likely externally driven. You are talking about people making a change to suit another resident (you) when LL has already weighed in on the matter. Talk to LL if you want an ironclad guarantee that kid AVs will never be on Zindra. From: Lias Leandros I did not see you post in outrage when we were asked to do that. Umm, myself and a few others did exactly that. I was (actually, still am) an officer in one of the groups protesting the move of adult content. Not because we were affected by the move, but because we did not want to see *anyone* put though that. Then we got you and Prok being oh-so-thankful for us doing so.

From: Milla Janick Landowners were compensated with land in Zindra and given the option to keep their old land. Loosing income and given the opportunity to pay more tier is not compensation. And child avatars apologists are just throwing up yet another blockade so they do not have to make any more compensations except the one that states they cannot engage in sexual activity.

And child avatars apologists are just throwing up yet another blockade so they do not have to make any more compensations except the one that states they cannot engage in sexual activity. Linden Lab essentially gave businesses the market value for their mainland parcels to move. You had the opportunity to sell it. If you abandoned it, that was your choice. Why should residents with child avatars make any additional concessions? If the presence of child avatars in non-sexual situations makes you uncomfortable, that's a you problem.

That is debatable - and we continue to debate just that.

From: Treasure Ballinger Scandalous.....I remember as a kid, 'catching' my parents by opening a door they should have locked. I walked in and looked at them and thought something like...."wtf"??? and then got the dog who was asleep at the foot of the bed, and left. Yep, I accidentally walked in on my parents as well. It didn't traumatize me, but I had the instant feeling I was someplace I should not have been. Had I have been a "normal" child going by Lias' definition, I should have felt the urge to jump in and join them. But I guess I'm not normal, because the only thing *I* wanted to do was back quickly out of the room and make a vow to myself that I would *always* knock before opening a closed door. Of course, going by Lias' logic, I had no business living in the same *country* with my parents because they used their bed for sex.

At the risk of sounding horribly blunt: Why *should* they make compensations? The ToS did not change for them. It changed for you. Deal with it!

From: Lias Leandros Milla the market value of land does not compensate for disrupting cash flow. And re-establishing business in a new location. It is compensation. Whether or not it was acceptable to each individual is another matter. If people abandoned their land instead of selling it, that suggests the land swap alone was sufficient compensation for them, since they did not bother to take advantage of the option to sell their old land.

From: Lias Leandros Milla the market value of land does not compensate for disrupting cash flow. And re-establishing business in a new location. If your business was actually worth anything, then your customers would have had no problem finding your new location and adjusting their LMs accordingly. I have also had my way of life disrupted by the changes to the rules regarding adult content; and yet I blame no one for it. It is, for me, an accepted risk of doing business in my line of work. I am not sitting here writhing in apoplexy lashing out at whole communities of people who had absolutely NOTHING to do with the changes to the rules regarding adult content. I have finally figured out the difference most of the child avatars on this grid and you: Most child avatars have the maturity and grace to accept the limitations and inherent risks of their existence.

If I am ranting then I guess you are also. Others have posted stating that they do not want child AVs in adult designated areas - they just refuse to discuss it with you. The problem continues to exist (as is evident from Gavin Hird's thread on ARing the child avatar solicited for sex in the welcome area). You just do not want anyone to discuss it.

From: Lias Leandros Others have posted stating that they do not want child AVs in adult designated areas ... ... of course virtually none of them go along with your definition of "adult designated areas". Soliciting people for sex in a welcome area is kind of unsavory no matter who they are.

Why do you keep implying that child avatars and sexual activity somehow go together? People do not consider it a 'compensation' to make, to not engage in that, since it is not something they wanted to do anyway. That rule takes skin off NO one's nose. I'm not sure what 'other compensations' you mean, but that is not even anywhere near the same category as regular SL stuff.

From: Innula Zenovka I'm still trying to understand what the problem's supposed to be.
As to the other problem identified by Lias, all I can say is that possibly I attend a better class of orgy than do some people, Pepsi flies out my nose! hahahahahaha You go Innula! Handy

I don't think adult ratings were brought on because of child avatars..I think they were brought on because of adult content and other things fitting into the rating..A lot worse things have happened to people in sl than having the option to be in a select group that land investors would have drooled over being in..
how about just Dumpin your sims because they just upped the price on tier and cut back on the objects you can have..
at least Zindra you got something for your money where OS some just dumped off cause it was about the only option for some..
Seriously..the whole whaaa whaa about child avatars is pretty childish itself in my opinion.. cause it's not some problem that exists..it's all what if's.. not look what is going on over there..
what if this happens and then it starts to rain pedeo's..bleh..
