Oh yes it can always change and grow. As far as skyboxes go, I'd prefer something on the ground. If a skybox was added as maybe a "Special" event place, that might not be a bad idea

I'd also suggest a changing room for shy people.

A Paradise blanket seats ten I think...creates temp rez skyboxes at whatever altitude you want in twenty spiffy themes. And the poseballs it rezzes are PG.

OK - I'm in now catching up, but I'll be in and out through the morning. Couple questions:

1) Would it violate the TOS if Oryx had the password to the Trust Account alt?
2) Is that a good idea? I'm used to working with RL Trust Accounts, but this is sort of a weird situation, and I'm not sure it even really qualifies as an actual trust account. It's like a corporate/project account. At any rate, I think proper accounting procedures would be to have me hold the money and Oryx account for it. Her numbers should match the account balance, so we each have a check. I'm not worried, by the way, but we should do this right.
3) It's a brand new account. Is all this money being transferred to it likely to trigger some sort of Patriot Act Alarm at LL and slow the process down while I try to convince them that I'm not an Al Queda operative? In my personal case, Sinn Fein operative is more likely, but I'm not one of those either.

Yes, it's a big no no to share the password. If you do it, don't tell us about it.

Last time I checked you could not be shut down for receiving funds...just for paying them out.

1. Yes. Don't do it. Also, there are some account hackers in SL. If the money disappears mysteriously, neither of you want to be looking at the other dubiously. For the same reason, if it becomes largish and we don't spend it quickly, I recommend it be transferred out to USD or at least an SLX account with an unrelated userid. I say this only because it has been discussed so openly here; not normally paranoid!

3. Dunno, but maybe a note in the profile saying that this AV is associated with the Forum Cartel Group, and what AV to contact if there are any questions, would make sense.

Yeah and Sinn Fein sold their last BiPlane in 1984 I believe.

Trout, PLEASE don't share the password with me. Too many people's money is involved here for us both to get kicked out of SL for trying to be honest. We'll just keep it the way it is, with people letting me know how much they're paying into the account. I'm not telling Trout how much you all are telling me, and he's not telling me how much he's seeing come in to the account, so we've got a double blind system working, which is pretty much as fair as we can make it.

I must say, I'm looking forward to this. As a new member to any existing group, it can be tough to break into an "in crowd," and get to know people. (I'm not suggesting that you are cliqueish here. It's just clear that there's a lot of history between you all.)

But a hang out like what's being proposed here is a great way to meet a few people at a time, in a casual setting. Much more easy going than a large group event, IMHO.

That's pretty much what I thought. I'm used to dealing with different sets of information. I don't think it matters if I know how much people are telling Oryx they are paying in, because I'm going to see the receipts and transaction history. The balance in the account has to match the balance Oryx has, or we need to do some auditing to make sure that it does.

I'll update the profile as soon as I get a chance. I will NOT share the pass with anyone. That was a terrible idea. My name is associated with it, and I don't want there to be any question where the funds went or anything like that.

I agree. I would like this to be a very welcoming place. A skybox seems kind of standoff-ish. Though maybe having tp's go up there for people who want to change might not be a bad idea.

Trout, the AA group in SL has been through all of this. Creating an alt to hold all funds and such. If you would like me to put you in touch with someone who can share their experience on how it was handled, just let me know.

So, if I am donating funds as opposed to tier, I IM you inworld the amount, and then send the amount to Trout's alt, do I have the correct idea on that? If that's the case, I'll be doing it either tonight or sometime over the weekend. It's a kind of busy weekend, so not sure exactly when I'll be inworld. And by tonight, I mean sometime after about 10:00 EST, so 7:00 p.m. SL time.
