I don't like muting 1/2 of SL.

I see creativity as something "different" than the norm. I have been to over 300 new places in the last 3 days (yes exploring is a hobby of mine in SL as a ex-builder) and they are all filled with the same boring cookie cutter crap with slightly different textures and layout.

Show me something new and exiting?

What is boring and old to you, is new and exciting to someone else.

You seem to be demanding that we play by your rules and put our efforts into entertaining you.

I get my entertainment in SL not from the buildings but from the people. But you are free to find your entertainment in any way you wish.

It is life Stella, for many of us with my condition and others like it SL is a Godsend. Here we can walk and dance without fear of falling or just do them period, something we can't do in RL. Here we can meet and talk to people again, not just sit in our livingrooms and let our brains die watching TV.

For all it's faults, I love SL.

My 2c ... I don't have one of those RL or 1st life thingies, they sound too much like hard for too little fun and I hear people don't like hugs there either.

Never causes me any bother. Whenever I'm asked where I live I answer truthfully that I live in a castle in the sky. I very rarely get asked about alternative locations, but when I am I usually politely and with plenty of smiles explain I don't have any

As for my age, it's no big secret and I don't mind people I know asking. Never been asked by a complete stranger as far as I can recall. Even then, I'm not sure I'd mind.

I spend all my time in SL using my creativity to make it what I would want RL to be if I had the money and power to do those things. All I can really do in RL is be nice to people. I don't have a half billion dollars to start erecting hotels in RL. But I think my imagination is a valid one for SL.



Well I personally have very little interest in RP, unless the fact that my avatar is 10 lbs thinner than I am is RP. All of my creative energy goes into my buildings and hotel & resort business. I don't really see the connection between a lack of a person's involvement in RP and their supposed lack of creativity.

I agree with Chris that there is room in there for everybody's vision.

Today maybe, but not for long. Maybe everyone just did everything I don't know. I used to be amazed by the creativity in building. Now it just seems a copy of the last guys build.

You can play by any rules you want and I don't care UNTILL someone complains to me that I don't play by THEIR rules. That is what you are not hearing. I am getting a LOT more people complaining how I play SL. I don't complain to anyone in world how they do things. If I don't like it I ignore it and I expect the same treatment but don't get it anymore. That is my point. I do not demand anything from anyone. If I don't like something I move on but people seem to have a very hard time moving on from me.


You can do that anywhere in any 3D platform. There, active worlds, IMVU, entropia universe, moove and so on. What seperates SL from them is the abilty to build things and express yourself a lot more diversly. If I wanted to just chat with people any of the above would work as with any text chat rooms. Why limit yourself to SL?

1. don't offer frienship before even talking to me
2. don't send stuff to me if i don't know you or if i didn't ask for it
3. don't ask a bunch of question about my real life, if i want you to know i will tell you.
4. if you are going to be naked be naked. don't walk around with your male part hanging out you zipper. makes you look like you are trollong for kids.

i'll be honest and say i'v only read the first post, probably posting this is for no reason as i'm sure you've already learned alot, one thing i have always tryed to do in SL tho is walk away from someone befor i teleport or go off world, just seems the polite thing to do not to go poof in front of someone unless it's an emergency

other than that just get out there and make friends, search for places and things you like and you'll soon find a new home in SL

Oh no, that is not what I do at all. I am just a regular girl a little on the freaky side (my role played character). What I meant about RP was people making their avatar however they want. A guy playing a girl or someone playing vampire or necko for example.

I was at your place a couple days ago. I like the log effect for the outline. The wall textures are a little boring but work to keep primes down. I like how you placed the elevator and the layout getting into the rooms. The beach has a decent layout also. The "hole in the wall" rock adds to it well.

Not bad.

Here are a few of my hints to lead a polite sl:

- Don’t ask forum members if pixel bumping with your neighbor's bot is considered cheating.

- Don’t try to free the Gorean slaves.

- Don't ask Gorean Masters if they are going for their PhD

- Don't steal Brenda's panties and try to sell them in SLX

- Don't accuse Ray of giving you crabs

- Don't flaunt your Trout rating even if you dress like a recent divorcee after 10 years of a sexless marriage.

- Don't try to shave furries or hamsters.. even if they ask

- Don't wear a T-Shirt that says 'I collared your Mom!" (I actually saw one.. )

- Don't use a stick to poke at angry naked women chained to rocks. (Still looking for this one..)

- If you ask for sex always say 'please' - especially if you don't know the other person.

- Clean public pose-balls after using them.

Just a start... I am sure I forgot some things.
