I agree with claiming you're in love 3 days after you meet. That's a bit creepy.
/me feels sorry for Rose if she has never fallen in love at first sight.

I was one of the few women in a scripting class I took awhile back. Not one offered by the SL schools, but one that a mutual friend made known to a group we were in. Now the interesting thing is there were most likely more women than men in the group...but more men showed up for the scripting class. I also note more men in the combat sims. I don't mean this to sound like stereotyping, but I started thinking about if I'd been someplace on SL where the men outnumbered the women and those were the first two that came to mind. ~ ~ ~ On another note...has anyone mentioned The Latte Cafe at Mill Pond yet? There were quite a few men there as well and the general population seemed a bit more "mature" and intelligent-discussion oriented. thank you, Czari ![]() |

/me feels sorry for Rose if she has never fallen in love at first sight. Pep (Feels sorry for men who actually admit it to a girl that quickly) Umm....come to think of it, no, I don't believe I've ever fallen in love at first sight. Is it possible to fall in love at "first sight" with someone you meet on the internet? Now, there's an interesting question. When I meet a guy in SL or elsewhere on the internet, and they start claiming love less than a week after we've met, and before a RL meeting has been discussed, I tend to run the other way and be concerned that there's something a bit odd about the situation. |

Errm...you log in with the purpose of finding a sex partner? /me laughs Nope. Ofcourse not. , but I find it much more fulfilling to go rock climbing, or swimming through some underwater build that I've never seen before with someone, than bumping pixels. I am an arogant prick for stating these things above. My street cred, so to speak, has really taken a hit. But I see this day after day after day. How many times has this sad story been told. Girl mets bad boy, girl wants to have badboy, catch him, tame him maybe, be his only girl. Then Badboy either A- changes and becomes a slug or B - doesn't change, breakes her heart and moves on. Don't let those bastards win. Be a jerk, get the girl, keep the girl and the excitement alive. Scott, to me there is a big difference between a jerk and an asshole. The jerk is that guy you see girls fall for and wonder why. Don't that see how phoney he is? He is alos confident and bold. Sees what he wants and works to get it. But don't be an asshole. Don't hurt people just because you can. Be positive. Be honest and upfront with your intentions. Just be assertive with them and quit sitting back waiting for the girls to get tired of the jerks. You are hurting them if you do. Do not let some asshole break another heart if you can prevent it by simplly taking action. Nice guys are netoriously passive. Good girls get hurt because nice giuys leave them to the jerks. _____________________

"stable, honest, and compassionate" are high on the list of traits that I like in a man. "spontanious and wild streak" are not on the list of traits that I value in a man. Depending on the man, a spontanious and wild streak would not necessarily be a negative trait. We are all different. I"m sure some women would value the spontaneous and wild. Personally, I can find many interesting things to do that don't require being wild. QFT! When I worked in that club I keep mentioning, it just happened that many of the people who also worked there were members of a bikers club. The club employees wore the 1940's vintage attire while working, but off duty both the men and women looked scary to me - the black leather, chains and studs and body tattoos to the point you couldn't tell they had skin underneath. The guys were all "I'm a big, bad a$$ biker dude." Let's just say I could write a post of epic proportions of all the mangled hearts these guys left in their wake. I don't know how spontaneous they were, but judging by having a different "partner" in their profile each week or month I'd say fairly high. And they were definitely wild. Just say no! _____________________

..... I didn't make the rules. I just understand them. I would like to be a nice guy some time. ![]() Yep. Men's view of the world is often simple: if it moves and it shouldn't, get the duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, get the WD-40. ... _____________________

Good girls get hurt because nice giuys leave them to the jerks. This reminds me of a close SL friend of mine. She and this SL guy must have partnered and broken up at least a half dozen times in the year they have known each other. He's the sort I have heard referred to as a "FIGJAM". This stands for F*** I'm Great, Just ask Me. I personally don't understand the attraction of this sort of man, but we are all different. This particular FIGJAM seems to always have one or more lady friends in attendance, so perhaps many women do find this attractive. Personally, I just can't see it. I'll take the nice guy any day, and twice on Sundays. ![]() |

Years ago a boyfriend gave me a roll of duct tape and a can of WD-40 and told me those two items would fix anything - then told me the above quote. Me being a woman, it sounded like good sense to me and would keep my list of "fix-it tools" small. Ok.. I have a man who doesn't move when he should and does move when he shouldn't... where do i stick the Duct Tape and where do I squirt the WD-40? Imogen _____________________
