Acting on advice from his father /me always opens doors for ladies and gives up seats for them.

You mean in the dance clubs, right? Coz on SL proper I haven't seen that phenom. Anicdotal evidence at best. maybe it's the places I go ... When changing male to female is as easy as chaning you shirt, it's hard to say whether someione is male or female or both or neither or something else alltogether, You could count the repondants to this thread and be about as close to the population count as any other method ... that is withing a standard margin of error of +/- 182% The SL FAQ says: 3. Who will I meet there? And what is it really like? Second Life is the size of a small city, with thousands of servers (called simulators) and a Resident population of over 15,221,827 (and growing). Residents come to the world from over 100 countries with concentrations in North America and the UK. Demographically, 60% are men, 40% are women and they span in age from 18 - 85. They are gamers, housewives, artists, musicians, programmers, lawyers, firemen, political activists, college students, business owners, active duty military overseas, architects, and medical doctors, to name just a few. There are even a fair number who make part or all of their real world living by being a creator in Second Life, more on that below. I did find another source sightly less dated and certianly less biased. http://www.massively.com/2008/05/07/key-second-life-metrics-for-april/ Overall age demographics continue to trend towards us crusty oldies. 83.79% of the population is 25 years and older, and the older users spend far more time in Second Life than younger users with those over 44 years old continuing to be the heaviest users on average, and teens and under-25's spending the least time. 45 and older: 70.17 hours per user 35-44: 66.06 hours per user 25-34: 55.55 hours per user 18-24: 37.84 hours per user Teen grid: 24.67 hours per user Females spent nearly twice as long online in Second Life as the boys - another trend which continues steady each month. In short, the average active Second Life user is most likely to be your mother (so to speak). Again .. maybe it's just where I go but I seldom am in a place where the men out number or even equal the women. YMMV. _____________________

Trolled again looks like. Isn't one point of this forum to have discussions, perhaps the main point? Hows that Slave Auction thing working out for you? I haven't been back to the slave auction sim since my initial adventure there, but I have explored other sims which turned out to be more positive experiences for me: I thoroughly enjoyed the Avilion sim, and I've met some nice people in the Gorean sims. You should hear about the ones I haven't talked about. ^_^ |

Men are like Chocolate Bars .. Sweet, smooth, & they usually head right for your hips Men are like Commercials . You can't believe a word they say. I can not deny either of these. Well, I can and do deny them but then that just proves the second ... _____________________

Women process information by talking it out. Men process it by immediately finding ways to fix it. _____________________

My only advice, if you're a guy.... don't put "looking for a girlfriend" in your profile or think being a "nice" and "shy" guy is a benefit. Take the bull by the horns and be a man, have your own interests, don't look for a girl to cling to, gain some confidence, take the lead. Girls sayin they want a nice shy guy are lying or in the minority. Those are the kind of relationships where they end up with both people saying "I dunno, what do you wanna do?" and having no direction or passion. People settle for that because they're scared. You need to challenge one another. sad but true. Be jerk. Jerks get all the girls. Nice guys get to be emotional tampons and dumped for the next bad boy that comes along. I didn't make the rules. I just understand them. I would like to be a nice guy some time. _____________________

Men process things by finding a bigger hammer. Yep. Men's view of the world is often simple: if it moves and it shouldn't, get the duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, get the WD-40. How many women does it take to change a light bulb? Well, first we need to get a support group going and talk about it ... The truth is, women love discussing relationships and guys. Just compare it to talking sports or cars with the guys. |

I would like to be a nice guy some time. Ok,. Yosef. You're off base on this one. Most women who have had a bit of life experience will go for the nice guy. Most of us get over being attracted to the bad boys by the age of 30. |
