Getting fed up with Vampires

I have finished with the games i sent the HUD maker a note telling him that several sims i go to are sick of it and are going to ban the vamps who spam if he does not want to do anything fine and also i have contacted one of the Lindens to ask for advice waiting to hear from them and depending on what they say i may report the HUD maker for harassment . Hell tomorrow is my 2nd birthday here i should get some satisfaction

That is not true we are not all about the drama nor are we all emo ..... some are intrested onto the truth and history of that of the vampyre life style and eternal life ..... to be united in a family that is about / Honor .... Respect ....... Dedication ...... Family Unity ...... being there for each other and helping each other with all in need..... to do things together to build together and so on so forth ..... so to character us all as the same is a over statment of judgement of character ..... AKA being the worse making onto u the judgemental the rassist ..... and well if there is one thing i hate in the list it is as of ..... i hate liars theifs and judgementals ...... please dont place a label of character on all of us when u only know of some of us ....

I'm not a scripter so best I can do is perhaps do a garlic necklace with a "No bite" notice on it. If I do come up with something I will definitely let you know.

It's easy enough to mute the person who requests it, or just hang out in places where scripts are disabled.

I don't bite people without asking, and if I see in your profile you aren't interested in being bitten, I might still IM you and say Hi, but will refrain from sending you the animation.

The person who bites you first would only get your soul if you buy the HUD.

Otherwise your soul is in LIMBO.

Why should someone put in their profile that they're not interested in a vampire bite?

Do they really need to post therein:

I am not interested in:
Being bitten by a vampire, dog, or any other living (or dead) thing.
Being caged
Being smitten
Being slugged
Being shouted at
Being pushed
Being banned
Being shot
Being ... etc etc etc

Saying hi is really wonderful, but to send an unsolicited request to attack someone's avatar is nothing less (or more) than would be expected from just a greefer.

I'd rather not have to put, "Not a food source," in my profile. No matter how entertaining that might be, or the fact that it would cover many forms of RP that I'm simply not interested it.

I'm afraid I introduced DJGizmo to this thread. He unleashed his HUD request on me before saying anything to me at all. Of course, I immediately whipped out my new Silver Dagger and attempted a kill on him. He did not fall for it. He was way too paranoid for that. We then spent about an hour going back and forth about this subject.

I had great fun for about an hour poking him with a proverbial stick. He never would let me stab him with a dagger, but brought in an alt in his stead.

He finally relented and got me in touch with a person who put me on an opt-out list for Bloodlines.

I eventually found an intelligent person hiding under all that RP rhetoric. We even found that he may have uses for some of my pose-making skills. Go figure.

Where i hang out at is NOT a vamp RP sim so why should I leave somewhere I like because some person behind their keyboard lacks common decency.I have scripts I like to use so a non script area effects me also. Yes I can mute the person but Im standing there talking to friends, shopping, dancing, the bite request comes , Its not just pushing a button you have to search for the name then add it all distractions from my chatting.
I Do have it in my profile that Im not someones dinner do they read it ? no, if they do then do they care? no they still ask just in case i have changed my mind.
The maker of the HUD is accountable for making an item that spams but funny since i have said im not interested in buying his hunting HUD he has not once responded to my notes.

Generally I start talking to people. If I get the feeling they'd rather not be bitten (and if you're halfway observant, it's not hard to tell), then I don't even ask. It's pretty simple.

Actually when the bite request comes, there is an option for muting the person on the animation window. I also understand how irritating it is to be greeted with a dozen bite requests from greedy vampires. Honestly, it irritates me too. Believe me, I get bite requests and requests to "soul reap" all the time. I don't accept animations from people I don't know, as a general rule.

Regardless, I agree with the anti vampire talk here. It's the greedy assholes who make it difficult for the rest of us who actually do enjoy role playing and/or talking to people. I've actually IM'd people a general greeting and been told to fuck off simply because they read that I'm a vampire in my profile. On the other hand, I've made some good friends by IMing people while "hunting", so it's all good. I rarely say "Hi, can I bite you?" I actually read profiles and if the person seems interesting I will engage them in conversation if they don't look busy doing something else. If they have nothing in their profile, I will see if they're new and then welcome them to SL in local chat. Do I bite them? Yeah, sometimes. But usually only after a conversation about what we enjoy, and only if I get the feeling they're amiable to the whole thing.

I think a lot of people are harassed, and not just by vampires, and many won't even talk to people they don't know, which is a shame because Second Life really is about social networking. I see it in profiles all the time. "Don't IM me because I won't respond, due to harassment." It saddens me that people are afraid to even reach out to others in friendly greetings because of all the internet drama that surrounds this online community.

Are most vampires greedy assholes? I don't know. Seems a lot of vampires tend to be. The people in my clan are instructed to talk to the people they intend to bite, mostly because I don't want any of my friends to get AR'd by an irate SL user. I left a huge vampire clan because the leaders of the clan were very greedy and all about collecting souls and clan members. I prefer to know each and every one of the people in my group, and make a concerted effort to do just that. If any of them cause any problems, either in the clan or outside the clan, they are warned once and then ejected if the poor behavior continues.

I hate the reputation that vampires have and do my best to change my little part of the world.

I get a lot of positive response in how I conduct myself as a vampire inworld. I only wish others would follow the example and stop hunting newbies and harassing those who are obviously not interested.

A smart Bloodlines Vampire would just ask Phil if he could bite all of Phils Bots... then he would have a lifetime supply of blood and souls!

Or even easier, create about 20 G-mail accounts, make 100 SL accounts, and log them all on one at a time and bite em! You will be King of the Bloodlines Vampires in no time!

oddly enough when you want to be bitten there are no vampires around...

Works the other way around too.....when I am not in the mood to bite or turn anyone, I seem to meet more people who want it! Although I would like to increase my clan, on those occassions, I simply introduce them to friends....I insist on rp at all times, creating a dark and seductive,exciting atmosphere-If I'm not in the mood to give them enough of an experience, I wont even try-Afterall, without the rp, it is just another animation. Where's the thrill in that?

I find it funny that people ask me if i want to be bit then when i say no they ask me if i want to join their clan and be a vamp. Some tell me its the only way to become a vamp

i find wierd is long haired emo looking Male vamps, that whant to bite me i just stand looking at them with, my 7ft tall hulking mutant AV with custom demon horns and tentacled back,and a four ft rusty metal electro telsa shock pipe stand there buzzing in front of them and laugh,with the reply i feed on the vampire race,with a side of hot mash patatos...muuuuhahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahaha

I finally got offered a bite.. sadly I had to create a new alt. and he was promptly spammed in open chat at a non SL Orientation island by a hot little Female Vmp.. then again in IM from a male asking if I wanted help as well.

I allowed the male that asked in IM, and also offered many although freebies... Items and help and note cards with a great list of LM s etc. thought that was a nice thing to do.. not spammed but asked in IM answered all my questions (you know its really hard to be a noob again ! lol)

so Distilled is still with out a bite offer ... but a 5 min old A;t had 2 ~!)

lol i got some new weapons I need to test on others to see what they really do, maybe I need to find these vamps hangouts so I could invite them back to my place, I can test each one. Maybe a slow process, but could be fun lol. And no I dont test on just anyone, my alt gets all the damage ;p
