Does anyone know of a way to stop people from sending invites without asking. My problem has been the vampires bite invite. In 40 mins one day i had 25 requests. The issue i have is 1 i have it in my profile I'm not interested 2 i wear a titler saying I'm not interested.
I have been told the HUD picks me since I am " fresh blood" some have said I should be bit so they wont target me but why should I.
If there is something out there to block the invites please let me know and if your a vamp reading this please an IM asking first would not be out of the question

Are you hanging out in a place owned by a vampire group surrounded by vampire avatars? If so, you might try going somewhere else. There could be some folks doing that just to be annoying because you mention vampires in your profile. Now that I've read your piece about vampires in your picks that seems quite likely. _____________________

The only thing I can think of is to walk the world while set permanently busy. As far as I know, this should auto-decline any and all requests, but it will also decline things such as inventory offers and -if you're on a shopping trip- purchases etc.
The only time I've ever been pestered was on the first day of the Truth sale. The store was packed, and there was a group of vampires running around and hitting everyone up for a bite. I just declined every one without a word. Animate my avatar? Not bloody likely. _____________________

I got bitten once, but it was sort of a formality so I could join a land management group and do some building and stuff. Kinda funny to think back on it; there was NO roleplay involved at all in the "ritual", despite these folks being goth-y vamp types with all the trappings in their sim (rivers of blood, castle, impaling spikes, etc) so they might as well have just promoted me to a new role in the group and been done with it. But noooooooo, I had to get bitten. And taken shopping at Nomine (which was fun, although not as fun as going back later with my female alt).
I guess in theory I have Malkavian (those are the crazy bloodthirsty savage ones, apparently) blood coursing through my veins, and it's possible that I might go on a murderous rampage some night, ripping the throats from scores of human daywalking scum as I revel in primitive joy at the fulfillment of my cursed destiny. Or not. Yeah, I'll go with not. _____________________

The sim i am at is not vamp owned or run if it was i would understand and its not just at this place it is several places even in shops. They dont have time to read my profile as like this morning i did not even have time to to rez the sim and i had an invite. As for getting bit to be done with it, why should i? |
