Getting fed up with Vampires

I used to get random ones in Acropolis, then the batty ones that'd try pushing me off a bridge because I ignored them.

Oooo.. Wet pixels, lmao..

Hmm.. I hate to say this, but if I got a bite invite on my own land, I will ask them politely to knock it off. If I get one complaint about it, they get kicked from the land. Or set the land to damage and let them have it with the flame thrower..

My alt gets hit with the silly things every time I take her skin shopping. Or hair, or much of anything. Yes, I know she's a Victorian style lady.. please understand that she has a gryphon that will gladly eat you too.

FWIW: The sim Transylvania will ban anyone with a Bloodlines HUD.

At first I didnt understand why, but now I'm seeing the reason behind it, since the sim is more of a social thing. Nice sim, heavy lag at times.

Since going there from the begining I've enjoyed it there. Fun folks to talk with, good friends, etc.

I had pleasant exchange with someone who wanted my soul from bloodlines.
I didn't tell her where I hid my soul, I just said if she found it might be hard to chew.
Actually wanted me to become a vampire in bloodlines but I explained I wasn't into corporate Vampirism or opening up blood bank.
I mentioned I have been offered tons of times to be bitten even numerous times most were spam.
She was saying that why she didn't over me one of those pop ups she wasn't into that.
Funniest place I got hit over 50 times was when I was playing dead guy whose nude body was dumped in on crime scene in Gay Sim.
I was dead, they couldn't figure out why I didn't accept their bites so they kept offering them to me.
Guess they really need to be staked and put out of their undead lives if they can't figure out why I am not responding.

Maybe they were hoping to bring you back to "life"

I fell for a bite out of curiosity when I was a total noob in my first days here..
Now I am annoyed about it as I would have preferred it to be on my own terms.. I think stalking noobs is unfair and its a shame as I quite like the 'Real' vampires and their sims and am interested in the RP a little. That person who bit me when I was a Noob on Alady Island has really given them a bad reputation.. no RP nothing.. now I just have to put it down to another noob mistake..

So I guess the venerable "bite me" response would be self defeating. hahaha

Kidding aside, they have a hud and control panel on their screen, they click one button to "scan" their intended victim; if it comes up "this is a fresh victim" and if they have in fact taken the trouble to scan you then they click another button that brings the blue "..animate your avatar?" pop-up. When you click "decline" they get a message in green saying you've declined the bite "at this time."

It's a game, they have to come up with so much blood per day or whatever. Once you're bitten their clan owns your "soul," an entity only the vampires acknowledge the existence of in second life.

I allowed a bite back when I still had my n00b avatar. I watched the little cartoon vampire bite my ugly little cartoon guy and it was my first true laugh out loud in second life. The next was shopping for eyeballs.

The clan doesn't own your soul. The first person that bites you gets your soul...if you run out and buy the Bloodlines system (599L.) Either way you no longer count as a "fresh victim." Frankly I don't really see the point of any of it, it really does seem like a pyramid scheme as someone said earlier. Also, as far as I can determine, the system uses an external database to store user stats (who owns who's souls, how much blood you have left, etc) so there's no way for anyone other than the creators of the system to make a vamp repellant for people that don't want to be annoyed with bite requests because they're still a "fresh victim." I'm rather surprised they haven't done that actually, given that they do make other potions to do silly stuff like "reclaiming your soul."

OK, so, lemme see if I get this right. When somebody "bites" you, your av's name is added to some off-site database of "people who have been bitten"; when a Bloodlines users "scans" you, what they're really doing is querying this off-site database to see if your name is in it. If it is not, the HUD returns a "fresh" response; if it is, then it returns a "used" response (I presume), which I'm guessing means either they cannot bite you, or that you're not worth as many "points" if they do. Is that how it goes?

Can someone tell me where I can find one of these bloodline huds? Or if someone has one please send me a private IM, or IM me in game.. I get these invites a lot too and I am very tired of it.. At a minimum I think I will create a attachent with a hammer and stake animation that you can command. But if I can find out more about the hud I may be able to make some sort of automated response.

I noticed that the silly blue dropdown box had three buttons on it:

Animate your avatar?
Yes - No - Mute

That third one seems to have done the trick, I haven't had a request since.

Yep that was him. The one that tried to make a run for it in Avilion. And who said that all the other dragons on SL (except him) were fake (he used bigger words, but same idea.)

I want mine to stake 'em, set the stake on fire and then put the fire out with holy water, please. I don't want the ones trying to bite me to come back for more.

I go to a few places that have the same ban. Half because it's frigg'n annoying. And half because of the consumerist dilution it brings to RP. (>_<

Are you sure of that? I had it explained to me by a vampire recently. Are all clans the same?

It's no big deal of course. Who really cares? Not me. I have no worries about this. I'm fine.
