OK, so, lemme see if I get this right. When somebody "bites" you, your av's name is added to some off-site database of "people who have been bitten"; when a Bloodlines users "scans" you, what they're really doing is querying this off-site database to see if your name is in it. If it is not, the HUD returns a "fresh" response; if it is, then it returns a "used" response (I presume), which I'm guessing means either they cannot bite you, or that you're not worth as many "points" if they do. Is that how it goes? Pretty much, yeah. The offsite database can be accessed at slbloodlines.com and contains a lot of info on how this game works. Are you sure of that? I had it explained to me by a vampire recently. Are all clans the same? Well I admit I'm not a vampire but according to what I've read on the bloodlines site and what I've seen after buying the HUD (because like a few others I was looking for a way to counter it) I do know that the first person that bites you "gets" your soul as I was bitten long ago by a friend and she ended up with my soul when I wore the HUD. As for clans, they seem to be groups of vampires that have pledged themselves to a leader and any souls they have "collected" count as the leader's as well for the purpose of status so I guess in that sense they do belong to the clan as well. |

About time too, then the people who are roleplaying properly can do their thing without morons spoiling it for everyone.

Bloodlines is just the new Tiny Empires, but more annoying, because it basically pokes fun of, and insults, those who RP being vampires. The really stupid thing is, there are some RPing vampires that use it too *rolls eyes*.
So, since I am an SL minister, I should get a HUD sending out blue windows to everyone within a range, to marry them off, regardless if they are partnered or not... hmmmm... think of the money I could make *laughs* |

So following on from someone else's suggestion, I made a nice little sculptie altar thing, put it on my beach and enabled damage..
Then I rezzed several boxes of C4 that I had from a long time ago and buried them in the sand and invited a friend over for testing. Great fun, but only seemed to inflict 50% damage. When I get the chance to invite a vampire back to my place for my sacrifice... I need this to go full tilt. I've looked at the aubretec intersim nuke but that may be a little over the top for my needs, what's a good explosive (don't want to try firing anything) that would work? Alternatively, does anyone have a nice script that I can set off at the same time as the C4 that will do 100% damage? |

But Warps, Spellfire or DCS2 dont have anything to do with RP either but most RP sims use them for combat. its just a system to "keep score" really. Bloodlines could be a syatem for RP, but the maker seems to want to Make money off it instead of promoting it as a RP system. they sell the Hud, sell you containers to store blood, potions of protection and even potions to restore your soul if you have been bitten. It was funny, I thought about getting bloodlines for RP but I had been bitten a long time ago before I knew what it was. I complained to the Owner that it was unfair that I would have to pay 599 for the Hud *and* 199 for the potion to restore my soul so I could start the game with a clean slate...he gave me a free potion to restore my soul but asked me not to tell anyone or else he would be passing them out left right and centre! .... Sure glad no one reads these forums to find out you can get free soul restoration potions *whistles* |
