To those that fall under the category of "Bling Whores":
Stop. Just stop. So far in less than 20 minutes I've seen atleast 30 objects on avatars that were so loaded with bling it was ridiculous. Look, bling is not cool. It never was. It makes you look retarded. As I type this, a person standing infront of me has a necklace that is apparently over 200 prims...with EVERY PART BEING BLING. Not only that, he has bling glasses, bling wristbands, bling piercings, bling SHOES! SHOES!?
Listen...to those that wear it, stop. For god sakes, stop. For those that are considering it, don't. I have items that have bling but luckily "bling off" exists and I don't have to worry about it. It doesn't look cool, it never has, it never will.

Most of us did when new but now most of us don't anymore. I have tons of jewelry and never turn bling on, it's passe. But you do see some people lit up like X-mas trees which doesn't make much sense but they like it.

I met a woman not long ago whos hair was a light source. Sort of like a face light but ever prim in her hair was glowing. When she passes, you know it .... because she takes all avilible light sources and which ever part of her head was nearest is washed out from all the light. Since the windlight viewer is very sensitive to changes in lighting, you can imagine what that looked like.
I wished she was just a bling whore. |
