What in the hell IS a bargepole- and does one come standard with inventory?
a pole you use to move a barge down a river.
basically the American version is "I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole"

OK my question is in three parts like on Blind Date. 1) Where do I go in sl to find nice guys with good conversation. I mean straight men that don't think they are god's gift and don't talk as if they are texting. I have tried Sweethearts and Phats because I thought that the odds would be better on finding a diamond in a pile of rocks in a big place but that was a fail. 2) How can I attract the nice guys while scaring off the idiots. Is there any magic I can do with my profile. 3) Less seriously what are the best and worst chat lines you have heard. Don't bother about hi, A/S/L and wanna.... as I have heard them already. Oh I would not want a girl that have to ask others to find me  |

I'm going to go back to some earlier posts and sound a caution, even though since the OP has stated she's been cybering since 13 she's well aware of it and is probably ignoring it.
This can be a pretty addictive medium especially when there is an unmet need for emotional connections. The OP will start by only being on SL when her husband is away, but its stark human nature that if the emotional involvement here is strong enough that will stretch - "Oh, he's home but has gone out for something" "He's in another room" "He's watching TV". Eventually the OP will either decide to go cold turkey on SL and leave for the sake of the marriage, or something will happen that forces the issue. Make sure you have a pretty airtight "Plan B", you may need it. As for where to meet nice men - well, as Lennon and others have alluded to here, life is what happens when you're doing something else. Its not a location, its a process. |
