From: Maklin Deckard I tried the URL in brackets first, for me, they are unclickable text with URL /URL before and after. This worked in other forums i have been on, but apparently LL and simplicity not going hand in hand, they are just text here. THe IMG looks like links to me, I see no red X's. Of course, I am on Windows/IE (and have no intention to change) and you may be on another OS or browser. The workaround is that if you want to post a link, use IMG tags. I know, IMG tags are for images, but it seems to work, at least in IE. I add both, so if I were going to post a link, I would do: http://secondlife.com/That gives both a clickable link and a cut and paste link so everyone can see it. lol - of course, when I do it here, I get a red x. Sigh...

There used to be a note about that at the top of the forum, but I do not see that note any longer. I do not believe the OS matters. Even so, I am using Windows. The browser maters, but I am also using IE. I see it as a red X.

Just a giant blank space. Oh. All those times I see blank spaces in posts . . they had links in them? Huh. I am using Firefox. Edit: Trout's post: I see the non-clickable link, and a large blank space above the non-clickable link. I do not see a red X (or a clickable link).

I just see a cute pink hippo. I always thought it was some kind of SL Forum logo. I'm using Firefox/Mac + Greasemonkey thingy.

From: Wulfric Chevalier Most furries I see are largely naked, some wear clothes, but most don't, and since most furry AVs have prim bodies, clothing could be difficult (though not impossible). Which would seem to make it rather hard for them to comply with the formal dress requirement. I was going to mention Caledon and numerous other regions where furs are quite clothed and rather well! But I think this is covered From: Soji Slade I do not understand. Because I like jazz? You should see if your big kitty form can dance! heeee From: Ann Launay I ate a mouse...bit its little head right off. ... and nibbled on its tasty little feet. But regarding the OP, sure, people can do what they want with their land, and of course how they manage it will reflect back upon them in whatever shape or form their style effects others. The nice thing about SL -- there's lots of repetition and while there are places that do rise above others, there's always another place around the corner to satisfy most desires.

From: Maklin Deckard My apologies, I had not gotten that far into the thread when I was quite rudely interrupted by the real world. Upon my return, I posted a response without first reading futher. (And sorry for the posting style. I have been trying to 'speak' more true to the period, aka formally, ingame and it has spilled over a bit into my postings here. ) In the context of the thread, I felt your posting style was most appropriate. In the context of a thread about accepting people however they choose to be in SL, surely a Caledonian should be able to use their natural speech? My adoption of a more formal style in my quickly written response was not intended as a slight, but as respect to your RP.

From: Ricardo Harris You're exaggerating a bit here. Characters here are no way the same as a rl race. Not even close. They are? We'll see about that. They ARE a 1940's-era nightclub, yes? So a sign that stated 'no colored people allowed', while quite appropriate for the timeframe, would NOT generate a slew of 'oh my god they're racists!' comments? Please. You'd see more shit flying around than from a thousand pigeons flying overhead. I could then easily make the argument that skin color, as well as its texture and pattern is purely a choice here in SL. Then I'd be shouted down with cries of 'that's not the same!'. Bull. You can have it one way or the other. Not both. Hell, I don't even HAVE a human av anymore.

From: Lucrezia Lamont You should see if your big kitty form can dance! heeee I know my smaller kitty form, the black domestic kitty, can use the couple dance balls, but I do not recall if I tried with my big kitty. I have seen a similar big kitty use the couple dance balls before, though. At the forum hangout. My big kitties also come with dance animations built in, so they can dance by themselves. ((I seem to get distracted on the weekends and not remember to look at the forums))

Wish I had been able to actually make it into SL again, later, on Friday night, and during the rest of the weekend.

I will have to come by and see in my big kitty form how that looks, well one of them. Or even all of them (that may take some time if all, heh). And I must warn you that I have large teeth and sharp claws when you come big kitty hunting, so I am not defenseless.

Yes, much braver than Trout. He had to get his viewing of the wild kitty through picture form. How did I get dragged into this? I liked the pictures, though.
