HUH? I thought he was a Trout? I would not do that to Trout...or Figgie, for that matter. I was just supplying you with a semi-gory Neko detail. ![]() _____________________

I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Sometimes when I'm trying to be funny, it comes out really UN-funny. Okay, who am I kidding. I'm hardly ever funny when I think I am. People sometimes laugh, but it's usually when I'm trying to be serious. Or while they're pointing at me. It would of course be an honour if you ever thought of me as a friend. ![]() Of course I consider you a friend! I always have. No offense taken at all. And I hear you on the laughing and pointing. I get a lot of that. _____________________

When I arrived and found the sign the first thing i did was im the owner and express my view that while they were entitled to do as they wished, I chose not to do repeat business there. I have not heard back any comment as to the whys or what ever. Of course, they do not owe me an explanation- again that is their right. As is mine to dance elsewhere.

For RL furries, it's still a choice. They want to be seen a certain way, but really, they could take off their gear and put on more normal clothing and nobody would look at them twice. ... I think there's a difference between blue people/furries/robots being discriminated against and people with ethnic skins being discriminated against, but that's because of my feelings about those practices in RL. All that said, I still don't object in principle to a venue excluding a particular type of avatar. For that matter, Qie is not going to try-out for the in-world production of "The Sound of Music"--even if I know the words to "Do Re Mi", I don't think I'd look at home prancing around the edelweiss. |

I don't think I'd look at home prancing around the edelweiss. I think this statement requires a demonstration. We'll let you know if you're correct after...oh, let's say the 4th or 5th rendition. _____________________

![]() I think that furries can wear formal wear though. That's just like saying nekos can attend wearing formal attire too. They just don't blend in these type places. I've not been to this place called Frank's but I can certainly understand their thinking. They prefer you leave your furs, tails and ears behind. |

Nekos can wear formal attire Formal attire is just formal attire Certainly they can do this. But.. Tails and ears with gowns and tuxeos? The Fashion Police will have a field day with this one. Ok, Launay, I can feel you nearby. |

A lot of furries identify VERY STRONGLY with their avatars. A lot of furries DON"T change avatars like the "humans" change skins and hair. To a lot of furs, their avatar really IS a part of their identity.
Telling them to "take that stupid cartoon character off" is indeed as insulting to many of them, as it would be to tell a Black person that they can come into your restaurant when they clean that brown stuff off their face. Or more aptly "you can come into my restaurant, but don't act gay." Or telling a M2F Transsexual to "go home and put on boy clothes and you'll be allowed in." I wonder what their position is on robots. _____________________

Characters here are no way the same as a rl race. Not even close. |

LOL! This is whats being discussed. Neko are not Furries...we're maybe cousins. And you bring it up even when it's not at all relevant. I've seen the 'Neko should not be in formal wear/at formal events' REPEATEDLY from you. _____________________

Someone once told me that he doesn't want to hire me because I have numbers in my avi name. How is that for discrimination!!!? that one is definitely discrimination. Since LL wont allow you to change your name. But discrimination based on name is allowed. Not very justified though, its not like your name is at all offensive or even a joke. |
