I think its absolutely disgusting what this person did. At the very least, she should resign as a mentor/instructor. Personally I don't think being a newbie is any excuse for selling other people's work. I would not steal in RL and therefore have never stolen in SL.

I would like LL to tell us what action they are taking. If she does not resign from mentoring how is any newbie reading this going to trust any of the mentors, even though the majority do a fantastic job.

This person should be punished by LL and if they don't then their discipline codes are a travesty.

I don't believe a word of this, but even if, in some wild turn of events it is true, why would you think your friend made it? Did you check the creator? And by the sounds of it, you just copied the script (or your husband did) so that it appears to be created by someone else.

All in all, a pretty clear cut case of intentional theft and disregard for other peoples property and hard work, topped off by vindictiveness. I think I'll follow Sensual's banning plan. Wouldn't want you to steal my silverware or wallet by mistake...

This thread/situation only highlights how fucking pointless having negative ratings are in the rating system.

I am not so much interested in Imagoel's head on a platter as I am a positive outcome to this whole thing. However having Imagoel take the stolen items down and apologize is not enough because it sends a signal to others that they can still make a month's worth of income by stealing before they get caught, and the only consequence is having to apologize.

Instead, whatever happens to Imagoel should send a signal to everybody that stealing is going to be far more costly than just creating your own content in the game.

I would also like to see the process of catching/punishing these people streamlined so we don't need to form a village mob every time someone does it. This whole issue shouldn't have gone this far! Francis and Mistress should have been able to let a Linden know, and the process of removing stolen items and punishing the sellers should have been swift and routine.

One more thing Imagoel...this is not a battle between you and Mistress. This is a battle between content creators and content thieves. We all know what team we are on. I took my battle scars from you in the form of neg ratings, and I am going to wear them proudly because I know I was right.
