Rant: Grim Babies!

Let me get this right, You hate America because we police the world but when we dont we get flamed. Pick a stance you daffy B****. We protect our intrest abroad and as long as our money is there I believe we have a right to do so, We also protect human rights even people like you. I wish we could make exceptions on this note because I cant think of a better person to be sold into the sex slave trade than you, but lucky for you my government seems to think that all people despite their veiws have rights.



Again you miss the point completely, its been stated clearly many times. These are a PARODY (look it up) They are a response to the recent increase in prim babies. If you ever leave your corner of SL then you have seen someone changing their box's diaper because "little woody made messy wessy." While this is funny in its self, this was a much needed response to the overly cutesy wutesy, that makes us all gaggy waggy a little.

So to sum it all up please dont leave your corner of SL it will make all of SL a better place.
Also its Nobel Peace Prize as in Peace.

Child abuse is not funny, it is never funny in any form.

Anyone that thinks this is funny shouldn't be able to go with in 100ft of a child.

Actually Rose...I am afraid you are the one that seems to need some help. Perhaps some therapy to learn the difference between reality and fantasy might be in order.

My advice here is the same as it was for the rabid fantaics who were comparing real life child sex abuse to fantasy ageplay in SL between adults a few months ago. I find your comparison of the two to be rather sick, twisted and offensive.

I am a real life survivour of child abuse and an abusive marriage. I am a mother as well. I host a support group in SL. I am well aquainted with real life abuse. To compare or confuse the things happening to a prim model of a cartoon infant in SL to real child abuse is mentally unstable in my opinion. And I as an abuse survivour will say you do not speak for me, and I find you stance on this offensive to those who suffer real child abuse.

If you are concerned about real children...and I hope you are...I urge you to go out an do volunteer work to help prevent abuse in real life, or work with children who have suffered it. Not spend your energy protesting what happens in an artifical world to a fake cartoon parody of a child.

If this sort of paraody is offensive to you, fine. Avoid it and those who make it. That is your right. But don't come here fanatically spouting illogical comparisons of real life child abuse. It would be laughable if it wasn't such an offensive comparison. Fanaticism in any form is frightening. Seek help.

I personally think humourless twits should be kept far away from my children. They'd do more damage than a parody of a ridiculous fad.

I found it particularly noteworthy, in view of the many threads about poor customer service in the prim baby industry, that the Grim Babies folks offered tech support on a par with the best I've encountered in SL. I mean, I was seriously impressed.

Sure, Grim Babies promote shaking your prim when it screams (better than the de-rezzing the little monster deserves!), but they treat their customers *very* well.

What childrens world? Everyone on the main grid is supposed to be an adult, get with the fuckin program already. Your role play is not reality.

I won't even get into the implications of someone playing mommy and daddy to someone else who is an adult while cooing over a baby made out of objects that isn't even controlled by another person calling someone who kicks around a prim shaped like a baby sick.

Myself I was planning on making a launcher that shoots prim babies at people and yells "CONGRATULATIONS MOM"

However all this talk of garbage pale kids is giving me 80's nostalgia, so I'm going to make some madballz avies instead.

It's sick. And I DO have a big sens of humour. You have a serious problem if you think because I don't like dead babies joke that I have no humour... I just think that (I don't KNOW for sure but I GUESS) that 80% or more of the people that do those kind of jokes don't have kids... And I do. And I hate those prim babies disgustingness (if it's a word) and any other violent/gore things... And I am just 23, and plus I remember seeing those gross stickers when I was 6, and I still didn't think it was cool back then, it made my stomach squeeze. It's just a question of who/how you are I guess.

What makes me freak out is that.. I STILL *respect* the makers and the buyers, SL is there to realize your dreams and etc, and I am like, okay cool if you like it... But why am I getting told I have no humour and stuff opposite? Why won't gore-ish people respect me?

Just because you don't get the joke, doesn't make it "sick". People are most definately not "joking" about real dead babies, they are joking about someone cooing over a prim object for chrissakes.

Don't "guess" about things when you are already coming from a state of extreme prejudice.

Exactly -- the joke is on regular prim babies, not real human babies.

Some people like to pretend that the bucket of scripted prims they're holding is a real baby. That's fine. I think it's weird. But it's fine.

I have kids, one who is still a baby even, and I am not offended by Grim babies. It's a joke. I don't particularly think it's mentally healthy to invest so much of yourself into a prim baby, it's a doll for Teddy's sake. I don't want to hear your dolly cry and make fake poos in public any more than I want to listen to someones prim genitals go off every 5 seconds. I truly HATE people who try to force their roleplay on the general public at large, be it the Barbie's Dreamhouse set, or the Goreans, or Furries. If you like your roleplay that's fine, just don't drag it out and shove it in everyone's face, and then cry "discrimination" cause everyone doesn't want to play the way you do.

It's very on topic, actually. You're outraged that people are killing dolls that resemble babies, but you don't care if they kill dolls that are adults. It's hard to take you seriously that way.

These are all fabulous ideas and I'll be first in line when you get these sims up and running. Even if people are not as entertained as I would be, at the very least they will learn something about how others view the world. For example, I would really relish the chance to see an "America" sim made by someone who really despises us, such as an Islamic fundamentalist, or say yourself.

But I do think Auschwitz sim would be far more effective and educational. The Jew killing knife seems a bit amateurish.

P.S. This thread is a great stealth ad for the Grim Babies. I probably would have missed seeing them without it, which would have been a pity.
