I want to point out that the ONLY time I get my back up is when I see someone being treated unfairly by people here. You aren't supposed to rub your dog's nose in shit. The only reason it shit in the house is because you didn't bother to be a good enough owner to take it outside when it needed to poop. If you're that cruel and inhumane to your animals, I have even lower expectations for you now than I did previous to your posting. Have fun, defender of the poor and downtrodden! What if we all just focus on the topic on the thread.
I work for a national company. No matter how hard each individual works, things sometimes goes bad. We had 3 weeks in a row where circumstances beyond our control caused several severe service disruption. Each time we worked hard and diligently to get things back on track. Some customers were inconveniences and there were instances were there were long lines. I am a secretary. I coordinate the payroll and pay bills and type stuff. You wouldn't believe how many times people want me to be able to provide them with the service the other people in the company do. I've been asked, "so what is it that you do", as if my job was not valuable because I could not do the other job. They also felt that since there was an emergency, we should have more people working. We have the regular staff scheduled. On a normal day, the staff would have been more than enough. Due to budget constraints, we have just the number of staff members to cover the regular shifts. We do not have spare people just standing around waiting to work.
More than anything, we want our service to continue in the normal manner. Any company wants that. While we try to empathize and help anyone who is inconvenienced, we are sometimes in disbelief when people act as if the situation is what we want or that we aren't doing everything within our power.
I can only assume this is the same situation at LL.
Do we have to stand by and do nothing? No, file bug reports and keep LL informed. Should we accuse, critisize and question Linden Labs business acumen? No.
