Probably not very impressive, but they're cute anyway-my tubby sculpty kittenz. One prim for the body.

2-place flyer with sculpted wings. More details/pics are available on Flickr (click the image). The lower wings have ribs and scalloped trailing edges. I used Blender to create a single wing and then did a "Mirror Z" to create the other one.
The top wing is a single prim, and definitely suffers from lack of detail. The tailplane is just the top wing at a different size. The flyer and sculptmaps for the wings are free-as-in-beer and can be picked up at/near the telehubs in Caledon Primverness and Caledon Tamrannoch. Flyer is powered by Cubey Terra's Flyer v1.0 script. Thanks! ![]() ![]() _____________________

Oooh very nice roses Sylvia, very cool flyer also Coyoteangel!
Just some simple lo prim furniture I came up with doing some shape experiments. The chair is 3 prims the second two are the bottom and back cushions. The Sofa is just a stretched version of the chair with some extra cushions. ![]() ![]() _____________________

But here are my railings, put up in Goguen sandbox. The uprights are each a single sculpt prim. ![]() _____________________

.
i am in awe of all yourses work in this thread ... its just wonderful ... i dl'd blender just for fun, and was happy just to be able to create a weird protoplasmic jellium looking type thing ... but hardly worth posting here ... but i did find this sculptie jacket i just had to have ... created by mirai jun ... its the first sculptie ive seen in clothing ... i took the jacket apart to show the individual parts ... and photographed it against a quickie wall i made ... the white dots indicate the linked textures ... it would seem to me theres a lot of potential in sculptie clothing ... maybe theres more out there and i simply missed it ps ... this is not intended as spam or an ad .. i dont even know mirai ... i just thought this jacket was worth showing as a differ approach to sculps ... OK? . |

Open book sculpty

I just started using Maya (or any 3d modeling program for that matter) a few days ago and I just finished my first sculpty model! Well, the first one I'd be willing to show anyways. It's not perfect and if any of the more experienced modelers have any advice or suggestions I'd love to hear it. I'd especially like to figure out how to get rid of that little lip at each end in the center where the pages come out. I'm hoping that once I learn how to texture it I can use that to hide some of the flaws.
Here is a picture of it in SL and of the model in Maya. ~Stacy |

Great designs all.
Arsemic, Your outfit is great. I made sculpty skirt bit ago but I never tried it on because there one issue I have run into with prim outfits and assumed it was same is when you wear prims there is this show through issue when walking. Prim pants, skirts and shirts tend to tilt off the body especially when flexible and I never could figure out how to correct this even with non-flexibles. TPing often would make the outfit unhinge from correct position and it would look really strange. Building with prim outfits would often get unhinged too whenever my fingers slipped. And there is size issue, it only works for specific size. Did you experience the same thing and if so were you able to correct it? _____________________

Sadly it only saw use at the SL4B and has resided in my inventory since. About time I put it to use again as my guestbook. _____________________

This wonderful sculpty was created by Charlot Dickins and is 24 prims. It can be seen at the Aho Museum on the NMC campus.

Thanks Michael ![]() Hell ya you can photograph their shoes...just tell them anything they might want to hear. Like...you're doing a project for school, or you're taking pictures for a friend because they want to buy a pair, but couldn't come with you to the store...anything. It shouldn't take long to snap 5 or 6 shots per shoe...you can get 3 or 4 texture packs in about 10 minutes. You could go to a Footlocker on off-hours. Or you could go to an Outlet...they are so big, and you can handle your own shoes... _____________________

Had to take quite a break for a bit. I've been in-and-out, but nothing dedicated. Man, looks like y'all went way ahead of me while I wasn't paying much attention. Some very amazing work.
Here's me wearing my sculptie glasses chilling in my sculptie throne. The glasses are recent, but I did the throne when sculpties first appeared and made it entirely in Photoshop. |

There continues to be some really inspiring stuff being made.. it just keeps getting better!
Here are some snapshots of rocks and water landscaping sculpties I made, also some underwater reef-like sculpts. Everything is sculpted and textured with Blender. -whyroc _____________________

I would like to thank Aminom for setting a standard and pushing me to get to where I want to be with precision sculpting. I would also like to thank that one guy for doing that one thing (I forget his name and what he did, but it definitely helped).
I actually hacked an OBJ file with a macro in a hex editor and wrote my own Photoshop filter to do this. I'm so motley sometimes. But it's precise and holds up at 16x16. |

Sorry. It's 1 prim. Sometimes I get so excited I forget the little things and assume too much.
