Its very difficult to overcome ignorance, arrogance, bullish behavior from uncaring neighbours. Theres a fine line that is often overstepped when two different parcel owners have different ideas on what they can and cannot do.
Linden law is never final or absolute. Unfortunate neither are negotiations with the offending owners. There is little we can do, other than be as nice as we can in order to explain our side of the story and hope that the offender sees sense, or lower yourself to their standards by engaging in cat fights.
A friend of mine had an alt....... who accidently kept dropping a particular mega prim which was loaded with particles, very near to the offender, the message eventually got through, not before she got a 3 day ban from Linden.
I feel sympathy for peeps who suffer this kind of ignorant behavior, we have to share this world, this environment just as we would in RL, surely some basic manners would help lots.

My symapthies to Seann Sands but I can say from bitter experience that Linden Lab will always favour the ad farmer / spammer over the regular resident. Has the ad farmer got you banned yet? It'll probably happen. I suspect that many of the ad farmers are alts of Lindens which would go a looooong way to explaining why nothing is ever done about them. If Linden Lab can force mainland residents onto island estates or to buy an island sim it's more income for them. So it's in Linden Labs' interest to make sure that the mainland is a festering sewer.

Just use temp rezzers as well to set up the blocking walls and such.
If they are allowed on the ad plot, they are allowed on the others as well.

If they are allowed on the ad plot, they are allowed on the others as well. Well, true...but, those look almost as bad as the ad beacons. I've tried them. Plus, I don't have control of all four sides (another ad farm there). And any parcel overlap will get the ad farmer on my heels again (they already banned me twice for that...thank you). As for Lindens responsible. I don't think they will do anything to help until Google, PlayStation, and Microsoft get their own virtual worlds in pair with SL...competition will force the Lindens to act a bit more responsible I think...since a lot of their income comes from corporate and nonprofit island money...which will be moving to these other worlds as they mature. Just watch...in the next year...you'll see a surprising new "support level" from LL. I just hope they don't do what Netscape's monopoly did back in the day...and die on their "well, they have to deal with us" attitude. We all know what happened to Netscape with that attitude...2% or less usage now...ignorance won't play well in this market. I just wish they realized this now...and provided better help. I know, I've dealt with their "concierge support level" countless times...and I've had better support from Comcast! Yikes...it's that bad. And I pay a lot more to the Lindens than Comcast! Cheers

From: Alazarin Mondrian I suspect that many of the ad farmers are alts of Lindens which would go a looooong way to explaining why nothing is ever done about them. It would explain a lot more than that. But it would be a hugely risky thing for a Linden to operate an alt in the adscamming racket without at least tacit approval of LL. And that's where I doubt the chain of logic: From: someone If Linden Lab can force mainland residents onto island estates or to buy an island sim it's more income for them. So it's in Linden Labs' interest to make sure that the mainland is a festering sewer. See, I think LL's island estates are very vulnerable to competition in the near future, whereas the Mainland will still generate tier revenue for LL long after most of the Estates are on Joe's Discount Grid & IP Laundry. And I think the LL decision makers are at least aware of this possibility; hence the Mainland Revitalization projects such as LDPW.
