...this isn't the heels class that NCI offers, but I noticed it while scanning education events for tomorrow and am going to try to go to it myself. I can't recall who was interested in learning to make shoes, but here is the URL: http://secondlife.com/events/event.php?id=1849395&date=1221076800

Sandal-making sounds interesting :)

I dropped a package on Mujer, in mine I included the items to be reviewed, as well as the ad pics for those items, and a brief info about each item.

LM SLURL and my blog address

If you need anything else Mujer just give me a shout

when I think of a review, I always think that it should be about the item, but if something is specifically technical, such as a seam booboo, then the reviewer should let the designer know before posting the review as it could have been a missed thing (happens to us all)

when a reviewer reviews something and says it is bad, as in the design concept or color etc, I always think, ok, they just do not like that, why the heck would they review it?

bit depressed today, no sales at all
a bit of traffic but no sales :(
Thank god it was stipend day

Okay, dropped a folder on Mujer, 4 outfits, lots of pictures and narritive in a notecard.

If there are other bloggers in the house who wish a review pack, they just need to let me know. We'll work something out.

By the way, I'm going out of town until next week, so keep an eye on things for me, okay guys? :)

Thanks!

Seriously Dani- before u go- check one more time ur permissions are right- if a gf hadn't been inworld and able to contact me in gmail earlier tonight i would have missed a sale cause i somehow missed setting one gown to buy rather than touch. It was just one but could easily had been more -

So- any suggestions on where to advertise a Luck Chair? It is shown in search of course - an I did look at some Lucky Chair groups- but- does anyone have a particular suggestion?

Question for shoppers (and store owners cuz we shop too)

If a store had a website that showed their stuff in a nice laid out fashion, with stuff in categories (much like RL shopping sites do) and the page the item is displayed on would have a link to the places it is available for purchase (ie SLURL to inworld store, link to slex, and onrez, and any others that might be out there)

would you be interested in looking at such a site? Do you think it would interest you to browse there say.. when SL is offline, or when you can not access SL for other reasons?

The reason I ask, is for a few months now I have been tossing around the idea of creating a website for my SL store, so folks can browse via the site (it is so clumsy looking at stuff on slex or onrez when you wish to view a specific seller)

and this way it would all be laid out, nice and tidy, easy to navigate, etc (with the links taking you to the place you can actually purchase it)

heck if I had the knowledge of how to link up my website to inworld, like slex and onrez do, I would do that too LOL

anywho interested in comments, viewpoints, tips, naysayers, all is good input

thanks in advance

amar other than the lucky chair groups, not sure of any places (and I found the lucky chair groups tend to bring in the non spending lucky chair hunters more than anything)

I like having my chair there for the off chance someone happens to be there when their letter is called

I don't shop from one store exclusively, so for my online purchases (which could be anything at a given time from some kind of gadget to certain kinds of furniture, etc.) I'm pretty much satisfied with Slex or Xtreet or whatever and Onrez. I didn't realize for awhile how to find items by the same designer grouped together on Slex so now that I do, I would prefer that method.

IF you did like one specific designer or shop, would you be more inclined to go to their own website as apposed to say, slex or onrez, to view their items, see what is new etc

mainly just trying to get a feel as to IF people would even bother to look at it, or would I be wasting my time building it

I think I will pose this question to those in my update group, being they took the time to subscribe it must mean something hehe (that will give me more of an idea as to if they or general public, would even bother looking)

Textures R Us (TRU) did this for their store (http://www.texturesrus.net/cms/front_content.php), and it was a godsend, primarily because browsing at the store was an utter nightmare (thousands of textures to load, after all). Their site is currently undergoing maintenance, so you won't be able to view the textures, but I can see various plus points for having a site like this. For a larger store, or a mall group, having direct TP points would be a bonus if they take you to directly in front of the item you've found on the site.

It would also be useful in reverse. Set your store's adboard to right-click-buy and make the left click for it load the relevant webpage, with "click here to see more pictures" enabled. It can get pretty expensive, uploading half a dozen textures to show different views of something, be it clothes, furniture, houses, etc, so a simple weblink would be a useful tool before the shopper made a final decision on purchasing.

Incidentally, I wish LL would introduce a new inventory icon: a clickable weblink that takes you to a webpage, like the landmark takes you to a place inworld. I know why they don't, because the possibilities for misuse are too high, but still...
