The transcripts I've seen, from the SL blog, didn't identify by name, which frankly added to the impression that the set-up for this was rather a cosy affair. ll dragged their heels on publishing transcripts and when it did they did consistently veer from accuracy. The only true way to find out what was said is to listen to them. There were private ones done that were more accurate and were up on various blogs. If slapt doesn't have the list then google may help (assuming they're still around). From: Scylla Rhiadra I can imagine that you do regret not attending that. For what's it worth, I suppose, you can console yourself with the observation that LL had no end of good advice before the final system was put in place, and managed to effectively ignore most of it anyway.  It would have saved me buying yet more land and moving my shop 5 weeks before the announcement. I lost customers because of that move (LMs picks etc) and then had to go through it all again 4 months later. Unfortunately shifting sands is one of those risks you go through with a company like LL. Even Stroker and the major land holders aren't immune to their unprofessional behaviour so we can't expect much in the way of respect or consideration.

Never got an answer, but a few folks came forward on xstreet- I forget who they were though LL has claimed all along that they were doing this crap because adult content merchants *asked* for it. that we all wanted a better way to make sure that our customers were 18+. Frankly, I don't believe it. I think this was all about some businesses giving LL the excuse of "SL is full of Pr0n!" as a way to get LL salesgerbils to stop typing to sell them SL as a business App. ^V^ |

All Zindra parcels were listed as 0 before (just like estate land in your name), while now the actual land size is mentioned and calculated into your land holdings. So yes, tier kicked in. But if someone wants to sell I suppose it is best to chat with Lindens first, just to be sure. As for the encroaching: I am going to change the build in a way that even removing the bridges would do me no harm, but is is not really roads or so. Hope to stay safe  My tier is now due on my normal tier date of the 15th so I am paying for the land now well technically since the 16th of August and yes people can sell their land now as I spoke to both Blondin and Colton and they both confirmed independantly that land can now be sold without any problems on Zindra

Thanks, but I know he has said it more than that once, it's that I cant find the transcripts on Slapt to look. A lot of the early OH meetings were under the Slapt: Adult Content/Adult Transcripts from 6-17-09 and before, but the later ones I cant seem to be able to find without having the URL posted here.
It seems to be an oversight I've been meaning to ask about for a while, why aren't they all posted in the same place?
Oh, another thing, that phrase "dont sweat it" I know it's a very small thing, but it just smacks of something the "normal" Blondin wouldn't say, giving more credence to the theory there is more than one "Blondin" if *we* are right (I'm not the only one thinking there are more than one)

So I guess I'd say I'm trying to prove it as a source of inaccurate information That seems to be all I can find for the moment, but I don't see all of his OH meetings in August But the fact remains that no one got ANY notice beforehand, LL is getting worse, not better, at communicating and it's costing US, not them! |

Suggestion:
If you didn't want to keep your Zindra or Mature land once tier kicked in, sell or abandon it now and file a support request for a tier rollback on the grounds that you didn't get notice you were promised. I once accidentally bought 16m (an ex ad parcel) on my tier instead of group tier, which put me into the next bracket. I filed a support request explaining what happened and they rolled back my tier for that month by the necessary 16m.

just checking to see if its only me who is having shed loads of crappy zindra sl bork factors the last few weels or so-- lost rezzed items , impossible sim border crossings , lost IM's, builds simply not there when re logged, long log in waits , oh and while i am at it the roads around my neck of the woods must of been built by drunken noobs on ketamin using their sexual appendages to control the placement of the road prims, shoddy as feck ,,, ahhhhh if only my moaning winge would make things better.
pleeese lindens --post the really serious grid warnings on the log in page --it makes sense to do this rather than let me spend money and time building stuff only to have the whole thing poofed to the void.
(pleese ignore my winge--i am just killing time while i wait to be 'allowed' to be logged in again like the sad SL addicted sap i am))

I did a quick test, and entering some "naughty" words from the slapt.me list *did* produce results just as you noticed. However, I then tried to search for my partner's store (by name directly or with adult keywords from her parcel description), as well as some of my friends stores and sims which are all on regions flagged Adult, and they did *not* show in the map search. My guess was that if I tp'd to a location that showed up from an adult word search via maps.secondlife.com, it would be on a region with only a Mature flagging. So far, the first 3 that I tried were indeed on Mature flagged sims that have adult content keywords in their parcel description. So it looks like a search from maps.secondlife.com is relying on the region flag as a filter as opposed to how the in-world search filters words? |
