I hope all is well there Rioko. We've been out of touch for a while now. I didn't realize you'd taken SL off the computer. I, barely log in these days - my life is too busy with work, and other things to "live" a life in SL as well. I don't miss it much either. Drop me a line if you remember - I have your email so I'll try hard to do the same.

I also lurk here every now and then, to keep up with everyone. I miss all of the friends I've made here and hope to meet up with you here and there, whether in world or on other forums. As I've mentioned before, I'm over at SCII - as is Ghosty (although he is still on "vacation" from all of this pretty much). A lot of you have been coming over and I'm so happy to see your "faces".

LOL. Gabby - I was reading your story earlier. While the situation of your land is sad - I was so happy to read about your RL going so well. Take care, and I hope we still see each other in-world now and then (if we had a hug button here, I would use many).

*HUGS* For non-existent things such as virtual land, it is surprising how attached to them we become, I certainly have been - clearing Watchman is one of the hardest things I have done in a long while.

This forum, and the people I met here, hold a special place in my heart, and especially the denizens of this thread, but then...I guess you might have gleaned that from the one or two posts I've made in it.

It's because of these forums that I came to know practically everyone I've met in SL.

When I first posted (/327/77/243685/1.html), and asked a question (who believes that???), everyone was so kind. The number of PMs and IMs I received was amazing. I was so touched.

I've learned SO much from these forums. SO much. About SL, of course, but more...about music...art...books...people.

All those youtubes Mac posted.
Brenda's Bollywood movies.
All the good advice given to residents new and old
The laughter. Oh lordie, the laughter.
The tears. There have been plenty of those as well.

I'm sure, if I thought about it long enough, I could come up with something I'd change, but right now..I wouldn't change a thing. Except the ending. I'd change that in a heartbeat.

The more I think about it, the more I realize I will miss this thread more than the forum itself. RA is all well and good, but it's been a joy to have a single running conversation and all-around shooting-the-breeze with people whose company I will truly miss. I left for two years, and when I came back, it was for you guys.

Though we can all participate at other forums, I get the feeling that a thread like this would not be welcome. In contrast, the Forum Cartel forum would be the perfect place for this thread to rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

So, if I make it, will you come? Will Mo make us breakfast? Will Josh make us more funny animated pics? Will all the fun/sexy/talented ladies and gentlemen keep posting pics that make me love Second Life in a way the Lindens never could? (I know Bren says she won't, but if we really build a new community there, maybe she won't be able to resist. )

Finally, if I make it, what should it be titled? "just ignore and let this one die" (same as this one)? "The Never-Ending Thread of Randomness"? Or something simple like "The Thread"? Other ideas?


Or am I just trying to hold on to something that will never be again?
