Thanks to you guys and i'll miss all of you (well, i'm sure i'll see some of you elsewise, but you know.. from these forums and all) as well.

And i can't say i hadn't thought of that either.. the whole ResMod thing. After being in a sort of limbo for years, it's actually coming to an end. I was here through the old General purging, but i won't be coming through as a ResMod on the other side of this one.

Sad, weird and liberating all at once.. to be honest.

I've tried to do a decent job while i was doing the job, even if that was extremely spotty for a long time now. I've enjoyed being of a help to the forum community... and sorry if i focused heavily on RA, it just happens to be the only sub-forum i frequented since General and Off-Topic closed. (WOW! Remember Off-Topic?!? ..seems like a lifetime or two ago!)

But yes.. i already plugged the URL into my address bars pull-down history, so i won't forget to come by. And i think i'll log in now to check out the group in-world...

I did a goodbye last time the forum was due to die. Not gonna do it this time. I did not want the chance to pass by to tell you all thank you. You made me laugh through depression, taught me a ton about various topics and made me feel rich for having gotten to know many of you.

I bled a lot of my soul in this thread at times I needed friends to talk to. You all were here for me.

So, thanks! I hope to see you around SCII or now that I know Ava is possibly starting a forum I maybe there too.

I've lurked about in this thread WAY more than i've posted... it's definitely not something you can set out to recreate.

However, i don't doubt that something similar will crop up at some point in the future. It's one of those things that can only truly happen at random.. usually. But also something that has a reoccurring pace.

Sadly, we most likely won't all be there. I have no idea where i'll end up. Although, i suspect i'll be around Second Citizen a bit more often (which isn't much, compared to the rarity of my visits currently).

I never grew into the Forum Cartel, either pro-actively or by invitation into anything (although, not sure if a ResMod can be in a cartel.. lol). Although, i may peek in to the forums at some point.

Anyhoo.. it's been an awesome ride, both in general and in this thread specifically. Thanks for all the good times, the oohs, the ahhs, the awws and the lols.

I'm sure i'll make it back into this thread a couple more times before The Forum Finis (a.k.a. - "The DOOOOM is REAL this time!! event"

This thread has been a gestalt event - greater than the sum of its parts. I don't think it could ever be deliberately recreated, in the same way you couldn't sit down and recreate some other magic, like The Beatles for instance. But why must it end really?

A family does not die just because they pack up and move. I do hope a neighborhood can be found free of trolls, drama, and immaturity. We have real life for that.
