The only pic I've managed to sort out so far from tonight's wanderings:

It looks so much better in the large size though. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4045/4321581292_3c183ebd3d_b.jpg

Oh, Claire, that's lovely. You're lovely. :) And I like the purple frame. :)

In the truth is stranger than fiction department, there is a traffic stoppage on the New Jersey Turnpike near Cherry Hill due to a small plane making an emergency landing on the road. The plane was doing traffic reporting fpr Philadelphia radio and TV stations.

lol...I heard that story on the way into work this morning.

Thank-you.

One of the oddities of life is that I was going to park in the driveway, because of the snow, but didn't want the trouble of having to move my car if anyone wanted to leave the house.

Oh, and insurance - I still haven't talked with anyone with them. All impersonal forms filled out. I did call when I had more information, but they were not open on the weekend. Supposedly they are going to call on Monday morning. And look at the car on Thursday. Well, get it on Thursday.

This might be resolved, fully, in two weeks, or two months.

"The driveway or not the driveway?" is my constant question when we have snow. If I park in the driveway, then it's easier for the plows to do a better job of plowing closer to the curb. But if I park in the driveway...it's harder for me to get out to the main street. They rarely plow my cul-de-sac, and there's just enough of an incline from my driveway to the intersection to make things a little dicey when it's icy. (heh...I'm a poet, and I didn't know it! :p)

That is actually my "Home" point. Has been for a long time now. Because no one knows about it. They do now though.

lol...maybe you could put up a sign that says "get off my lawn!" :p

I found a biped raccoon that goes with my quad raccoon that I've had for a long time, so I've been spending my time lately as a biped racoon. The outfit doesnt' really fit, I do not think, while a furry creature. So I did not take a picture yet.

Well, there is a sign up there. I could 'accidently' lean something against that sign. Something like "pardon the dust, we are repairing . . ."

It is fun to leap off of there. Sometimes I try to land on the hangout roof, sometimes I try to see how many sims I can cross before I land on the ground.

I cannot get my cowgirl hats to fit my big head. I'd have to stretch them out to ungodly proportions to keep my hair from coming through. I have a couple of them in inventory but can't get them to fit.

Treasure, the one I'm wearing in those pics is actually hair from "69" - so it fits, lol. :)

I have problems with a big head as well so I only buy hat/hair combos. Probably one of the rare instances where it is easier to find this sort of thing for guys vs girls although I did see some nice hats with hair for girls at Argrace.

That's one of my pet peeves. I'd like to wear hats more often but fitting them over my hair without making the hat insanely huge is near impossible. I've not seen any of the hat/hair combos that Josh mentioned. Maybe I'll give those a try, but when I change my hair Tex doesn't look like Tex anymore.

Being a native Texan I certainly have some cowboy tendencies, however I always leaned more toward the hippie side of the spectrum. The recent batch of cowgirl pics has me rethinking that. :)

I have been on a couple of the group horseback rides in the past. Those were always lots of fun. I have to look into doing that again if those are still happening.

I'm going to check with the Mount Caledon Troopers to see if they're still doing those Friday night rides. :)

A group activity would be fun! I've done some group sailing but that can be quite tricky with those sim crossings. Horseback riding seems a bit more civilized and slow enough that you can socialize a bit and take in your surroundings, although I actually have never tried it before .. besides my hobby horse of course.

If your "Tex" hair is mod/copy, try making a "hat" version by editing it so that the parts that tend to stick out are either removed or shortened. If you've never done this before, be prepared for a kinda fun learning experience. Hint: because of the long curves needed, hair is often put together using prims that surprise you when you rotate them.

Death to nomod scripted hair!

(Btw, Josh, has Argrace started using removable hair scripts yet? I have two sets that I didn't realize were forever scripted - sent a message about it, but she/he just responded saying "thanks";)

That horse was a lucky find. And sometimes there is a good use for an overbright facelight. I pulled it out further to focus the composition.

G'mornin, thread!

Well, my RL 'puter -- the one I use for SL -- goes in for service today. I was down all weekend, and I hope they'll be able to fix it soon. It's really makin me double grumbly 'cuz winter camp started this weekend!

I was able to borrow a friend's puter for a bit (and have a couple piccies from Friday before it went down) to share!

On Friday, I helped my friends Lorin Tone, Madcow Cosmos, and Judi Newall with a machinima. But I wasn't quite myself for that:

Also on Friday, it's Kid Scout cookie time! So I was out in front of my store sellin Kid Scout cookies far an wide. I'll be doin it s'more the rest of the month, I hope. Yes, they help keep the Kid Scouts events going all year round f'r SL kids. Come by an get some Kid Scout cookies :-D

Camp is amazingly beautiful this year. Here's jes one view, of our cabins in the snow:

I've not been able to do much, cuz I'm ((the 'puter is)) sick:

My friend Johnny did take me out for a pin on his snow board thingy, though:

An that's th' weekend. I hope to give more piccies from camp durin' the week, if I'm lucky. It's totally one of the bestest events f'r us kids. :-)

Hmm Nika I didn't think they had resizer scripts in the hats I have, only texture changers for the hat portion. Mind you this was when they first came out so I'm not sure. I can sometimes be guilty of giving preference to style over time dilation :p Apparently llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast and llGetLinkPrimitiveParams are coming so that might help things a bit.
