Remember when we did this project, back in October 2008?

The first two pics are with library skins:

oh ha! i remember that! here's some of mine (1st 3 library skins, last one is my old usual skin)

A dilemma.... :o (What would you do?) I received in the mail, a survey, from the RNC. It said things like 'polling you, and other like minded Republicans'.......we need input like yours today, someone with Republican values, who believes in our agenda......verbage like that.

It was addressed to me, used my full name in fact including middle name. Correct mailing address. Problem is I'm not a Republican. My husband is though. He didn't get one. Should I:

1) Take the survey and return it, it was addressed to ME. Would be unexpected results for them......
2) Send it back with a nice note that they need to check their records, as I am not a registered Republican, and they have made a mistake.
3) Give the survey to my husband to take, even though 'he' is not 'me'.
4) Drop it in the round file
5) Pie

What do YOU think?

Either trash it or lie. That's what I always do with surveys, especially political ones.

If only it didn't get so COLD in New England.

Deciding who deserves it takes a lot of human power and is one of the things that makes health care assistance so expensive to the government. Personally I believe that there are some things that everyone deserves, even people we don't like.

Yeah it gets very cold up here.I am a hermit in the winter time.

Re: my remarks on the undeserved, I live in the poorest city in Massachusetts. Lots of crime and lots of fraud going on here. I know of several people who are perfectly capable of having and holding a job and do so 'off the books'. But yet still take advantage of our programs. Not only do they not pay state taxes, they are stealing from the rest of us.

Fraud is the biggest problem with all our public assistance programs. So many people are getting benefits they do not deserve or need. If the waste in fraud were even partially eliminated, our fiscal troubles would be much easier to deal with.

I am lol...

I just needed a break from revising about the gastrointestinal tract in hydras. :/ I so did not choose biology to study in detail how an animal eats through the same hole it passes waste through. Or how bunnies eat their own poo to get the most nutrition from their food. :(
You know about Koalas, right?
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Do_baby_koalas_eat_parents_poop
From: someone
The baby koala at around the age of four months eats a type of green faecal pap produced by the mother which inoculates its intestines for a gum leaf diet. It is different in content to a normal koala dropping.

It's true. This is the method of obtaining bacteria they'll need for coping with eucalyptus. The leaves happen to be poisonous. Being very considerate, the mothers produce a form of excrement often termed pap, and that's where the growing critter gets its delivery of digestive assistants from.

... It's quite fun and I think you'd enjoy it.
Thanks Josh. I know I would love it's just that I need to get me one of those round tuits. And I think encouragement and the examples of your work are probably helping me get more enthused.

That's part of the fun! It's just so wild when all the cars are buried and look like white lumps and there are HUGE piles of snow plowed up onto the street corners.

As long as you have the right clothes, and your house is warm, it's no problem.

i'm watching the harsh wind blow the snow around, creating blizzard-like conditions. i sure am glad i'm not out driving in it right now. but it's pretty from the window as i stand in my warm room. :)

I am freezing my butt off in a chilly office. It is clear here today, which means it is cold. Where I live, it is a lot warmer in the winter when there are clouds to hold the heat in.

Claire's sepia tone pic makes me want a photo studio (anybody got a free one, hanging round their inventory?).

Brenda's pics ALWAYS look classy, even when she's tied up and taped. I challenge Brenda to make a pic that has no class!

I find Mo and 3's photo montages with the same shape and different skins so interesting! Some sides of 3 I hadn't seen before, very nice.

The av customization thread Mo refers to inspired me to try the opposite experiment:

well yes, if the skies open up it will certainly get a LOT colder here too.... and icy. even though it's beautiful, it's treacherous to wake up to blue skies after a storm.

Unfortunately ,where I live, ratting someone out will get your whole family killed. Lots of gangs here and virtually no police presence.

the very middle one and bottom left one's are pretty. so, you did different shapes but with the same skin? very interesting.

 in that case, draw the drapes closed and stay away from the door.

Yes,I keep to myself. I say hi to my neighbors and occasionally indulge in small talk, but for the most part I stay indoors or go to places(Like parks etc..)way away from this neighborhood. Hate it here, can't wait till I move.

I'm really glad you said that cause the middle one is "me". :)

ETA: The question in the other thread was whether skin or shape had more effect on the appearance of the face. I have to go with "both" because there are an infinite number of skin/shape combinations.

I might have, it probably wont be much good, but I'll see. If not, I know where u can get one.
That pic wasn't taken in a studio though. I built a full bright white backdrop, sidewall and floor and took the pic. Makes it easier to select the backdrop in GIMP.

These are lovely, and looks fun to see what a shape can do to a skin. I love the middle and top left and bottom left ones. Very pretty :)

I can't take credit for the photography, my friend Karen from The Damsel Files took a whole set of me when she set up her new photo studio a while back. Here are a couple more:

I think I will post here just to whine. My internet sucks and the Fibre Optic cable is more delayed... trying to break the contract now and get a deal with another company. *bangs head in desk*

I was just trying the hunt in Kouse's Sanctum. My friend stood on the snowflake! It had to be over 1 meter. It took for ever to rez. Gaaah. I have preferences down to low, it is just no fun when it is like this.

I spend too much time waiting for stuff to rez. It is eating up my playtime.

I can't get into Aoharu... full sim. Sigh. The sale ends the 24 january. Double sigh.

And I must get up five o'clock in the morning, so I bid you a good night. This day was just stressful and tiresome from the start until end. :(
