Sorry, no pictures with The Statue of Liberty handy. Instead, how about a musical interlude until breakfast arrives.

Is it ok to post vanity pics of random people? I ran into these two guys at a music event recently.

Tyty... I must say RL sometimes has way more drama than SL  Hubby improves daily and is so relieved to be home. The six now teenage cats are a big part of his rehab ;) Now to get them fixed  LOL

@ Mo ah ha ty

glad he is home and recovering. i would love to be surrounded by six teenage cats. FUN!

This was taken in Chakryn Forest. I never realized how cool this place looked until I got my new computer. I really love their sculpted sunlight which changes with the time of day and I think they're only one prim. My inner nerd totally wants to figure out how they are made because they look like a complicated sculpted shape but making something similar would probably be beyond my pay grade in the sculpt department unless I could buy the sculpt map. The sunlight is so nice but kinda pricey though so I'm going to try and show some self-restraint, although I've had my eye on them for a long time. I'm calling this pic, "In Search of Unicorns" :)

nice shot, Josh. i would love to visit that sim.

With the apparent demise of the forum imminent, that scene is quite appropriate.

i'm certain they've been kindly waiting for us to reach our 100k mark. and then.... kaput

I love that pic Eli. Probably two of the more realistic avs in all of SL lol.

@3 I think they call that a "treasure trail" :p

Oh and the two of you should check out Chakryn Forest http://world.secondlife.com/place/fcdbadce-5fae-008e-0565-535a43922c20

I think those are basically HUDs that attach to your viewer, so for instance you could make a polaroid type "frame" in a PS type program with the centre portion transparent .. you throw that on a square prim and attach it as a hud to the centre of your viewer so it can frame your pics like you were taking a polaroid snapshot. I've seen many freebie versions of those types of things around and I think AM Radio has a freebie one available at one of his art installations.

Oh, thanks, Josh. I'll go take a look at AM Radio's version. :)

I'm hoping Brenda has a pic of herself as the Statue of Liberty so we can finish this movie properly. :p

Grendel's Children has a Statue of Liberty avatar.

I am lol. Those are old pics, I have enough of the things to last a lifetime.

I just needed a break from revising about the gastrointestinal tract in hydras. :/ I so did not choose biology to study in detail how an animal eats through the same hole it passes waste through. Or how bunnies eat their own poo to get the most nutrition from their food. :(

lol...you take the most interesting courses. I remember when you were taking a class last year, and when it came time to take the exam, you weren't exactly certain of the answer...so you were creative. You posted the exam with your prof's comments. :p

thanks. I'm home ill, I assume all this dental work has lowered/taxed/pried upon and ravaged my immune system, leaving me wide open for foreign invaders. So I've been ill more often since all this started back on October 24 2009.

I'm sorry you were laid low AFTER all the dental trauma. :( *hugs*

I am freezing my butt off in a chilly office. It is clear here today, which means it is cold. Where I live, it is a lot warmer in the winter when there are clouds to hold the heat in.

I hear you. :( Our entire building is COLD. Cold in the winter, so everyone uses space heaters, thereby jacking up the electricity bill for the university. I just wish they'd fix the problem.

AND it's COLD in the summertime, too!

I have a variety of sweaters and pashmina scarves on hand. :D

Claire's sepia tone pic makes me want a photo studio (anybody got a free one, hanging round their inventory?).

Brenda's pics ALWAYS look classy, even when she's tied up and taped. I challenge Brenda to make a pic that has no class!

I find Mo and 3's photo montages with the same shape and different skins so interesting! Some sides of 3 I hadn't seen before, very nice.

The av customization thread Mo refers to inspired me to try the opposite experiment:

Oh this is good!! Such a difference. :)

I can't take credit for the photography, my friend Karen from The Damsel Files took a whole set of me when she set up her new photo studio a while back. Here are a couple more:

I'd call these HOT PINK.

Oh, I do like vanity pic day. :)

I think I will post here just to whine. My internet sucks and the Fibre Optic cable is more delayed... trying to break the contract now and get a deal with another company. *bangs head in desk*

I was just trying the hunt in Kouse's Sanctum. My friend stood on the snowflake! It had to be over 1 meter. It took for ever to rez. Gaaah. I have preferences down to low, it is just no fun when it is like this.

I spend too much time waiting for stuff to rez. It is eating up my playtime.

I can't get into Aoharu... full sim. Sigh. The sale ends the 24 january. Double sigh.

And I must get up five o'clock in the morning, so I bid you a good night. This day was just stressful and tiresome from the start until end. :(

Hope you got a good night's sleep, Marianne...

What viewer do you use? I was using the Emerald Viewer, but things began to take eons to rez....so I switched to the Snowglobe one. (I've given up on the LL viewer as well as the LL RC Viewer.)
