If Martha Coakley or any of her damn friends call me one more time,I am going to scream.

Oh yeah! Those robocalls are killers!

I don't know why, but I've only been getting Coakley calls, but my sister is only getting Scott Brown calls. I'm sure we're all registered Democrats (unless they've been lying to me!!!).

So for every call we we get from Martha (and Vicky Kennedy and Obama and Clinton), they get one from Scott Brown, his daughter, and his truck.

I'm not sure but I thought political organizations were exempt from the do not call registry in the US.

Oh damn, I hope not.:/

You must be right because we are on the do-not-call list... and yet they call and call and call. All robocalls.

I'm not sure if I got one from Scott Brown or not. Since the number change I have gotten so many calls, the only ones that really stood out were Marthas, due to sheer volume of them.

Next time I change my number, remind me to make sure it's unlisted.(Though I don't even know if that would help.)

His truck called your sister?:p

Looks like it is Rio :( but this might help or it could be totally useless http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php It doesn't seem like it has any real legislative clout though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_for_Civil_Discourse

No, but Scott Brown called and reminded her that he drives a truck.

If he could get his truck to call, I'm sure he would.

Seems almost unfair. I would certainly categorize political phone calls as some type of advertising. A telemarketer wants you to buy their magazine(or whatever), a political party wants your vote.

Ah yes,I do all my voting based on what kind of vehicle the person drives...:p Does he have a dog and listens to sad country music too?

Speaking of Sherlock Holmes and the other thread about private investigators in SL, I thought I'd try to make an animated gif. Ava's drummer gif also inspired me to figure out how to do it.

Hope this works .. it's a bit creepy looking though :p

This is great! Maybe not a look for everyday but not without it's charm. The animation rocks. Weren't you just saying something recently about learning how to to that?

Today's pic.....Trout rated 8.5

You look fabulous in this picture!! And ever so slightly disapproving of the background - that's possibly just my imagination and your hem length.

Yes I was after seeing Ava's awesome drummer girl pic! There are some online websites that will make them for you but I figured out how to make them in PS which has much better quality. I also wanted to figure out how to make them to use in Xstreet listings. I'm so lazy though, but since I said I'd participate in the Cartel Vendor show thingy Brann is organizing at the end of Feb, I figure I might as well actually put all the crazy stuff I make up for sale and get things ready before then.

And good morning, Threadies. :)

OK...off to the gym. Catch you later. :)
I'm going to have to work out twice if I eat all that. But then I'd be way too full to even move. The fluffy apple pancake (pop-over? sweet Yorkshire pudding?) with the powdered sugar looks especially yummy!

...

Still, my biggest problem with the film is that it was a Guy Ritchie movie. I.e., it was an "action" film, with far more violence than is ever present in the original stories, and not nearly enough in the way of cerebral dexterity on display.
...
I'm not usually a big fan of violence either, and yet some of my favorite movies are full of it. "Pulp Fiction", "Kill Bill", "Fight Club"...

As for Guy Ritchie I guess I've only seen "Lock Stock and Smoking Barrel" and "Snatch" - both of which I liked a lot.

So... has anyone else noticed Seven Okelli hovering near the thread.... just waiting to swoop in and post at just the right time?
I have noticed she's very sharp and has a great sense of timing...

Aww! How could you tell?

We're still a ways off, though.

It's snowing here in Boston. It's pretty.

In a little while I'm going to vote. We've been voting a lot lately, it's like a fad.

This one is for senator, to fill the seat vacated by Ted Kennedy's death.

And like most elections in the US lately, it's expected to be very close.
Don't blow it Massachusetts!

If Martha Coakley or any of her damn friends call me one more time,I am going to scream. I just recently changed my phone number and had to sign up for the do not call list because of all the telemarketing and political calls I have been getting.

Unfortunately, it takes about 30 days to stop the calls. I have gotten calls, from President Obama and even Bill Clinton endorsing her.(Pre recorded messages of course) I am not voting today and even if I was,I would purposely not vote for her sheerly because of these phone calls. I can honestly say, without exaggeration that her campaign has called about 10 times in the last week.
People like Obama and Clinton have been asking me to donate to her campaign. I'm on their side but I can understand how you feel.

LOL

I can't believe you haven't heard about his stupid truck! It's like the main element of his campaign.

So clear this up for me. If I understand correctly, if one looks anywhere on the Sl forums, they are required to post something on this thread. OK. I can do that.

A toast - to stealing, lying, cheating, and drinking.
To stealing the hearts of the ones you love,
For lying to save a friend,
For cheating death one more time,
And drinking with those you care about the most.

It's going to be tough in Mass now that there are no more Kennedys to trot out there. At least ones who haven't been caught molesting babysitters or other zany hijinx.
