From: Tex Nasworthy Josh, want me to send you a copy of the Chicken Run outfit? I have to post my picture of WashedUp Sideways. There he is, singing live when suddenly he felt the urge to put on the chicken suit. Between song outfit change. Before a song that involved chickens.

From: Claire Silverspar ...I can't exactly say "Well its the cheapest place in the list by about 5 grand and that it being so small wont scare the hell outta me and make my want my mummy.... Sure you can. In fact, an honest and original answer like that just might win you the top slot.

From: Claire Silverspar Its confuddling me, cause I can do the personal statementy bit which I say all of the above, but theres another bit where I have to prove I've researched SDSU and I have to say what it is that makes me want to go to that particular place.
I can't exactly say "Well its the cheapest place in the list by about 5 grand and that it being so small wont scare the hell outta me and make my want my mummy." Oh, I didn't know it was SDSU. Forget all that stuff about other cultures/languages... doh. I agree with Lindal, there's nothing wrong with the truth... although you might phrase it a bit more diplomatically. There is no shame in not being rich and wanting to feel comfortable in your school environment. I'm not sure I'd call San Diego a "small town"... with over 35,000 students, the university itself is the size of a small town! My university was half that size.

Thanks for posting this Josh. I posted some info on another board I frequent and not one person even acknowledged this terrible tragedy, they just started talking about other things. Makes me wonder how desensitized and uncaring we have gotten to the world around us.

I think I'll go the 'long established links with this uni' and the course I want to take looks the best there viewpoint lol.
Its only a couple of hundred words. I'll get it done in the morning, when I'm not so stressy. Your #1 reason of course is, you've done your research and found that Kaimi and Treasure live there. You want to immerse yourself in our rich, historical culture and take advantage of the plethora of museums. And, of course, what you said.........(keep Kaimi and me posted so we can welcome you in style!)

I'd love to go to San Diego, but South Dakota is the one I meant. Sorry for confuddling ppl lol. The Uni I go to has great links there, so I'm practically guaranteed a place if I pass this year - especially as there seems to be only 4 of us seriously wanting to go. Its in the middle of nowhere, and I have a feeling after living in a huge city forever, its gonna be a massive shock to go to such a rural place, but it'll be worth it. Anyway, I got told there's cheap flights from the local airport, so maybe I can do some traveling during my days off lol. Thought I'd share some random stats I got told today: Population of Brookings, SD : ~18,000 (closest town to the Uni) Population of Manchester, UK: ~2.5 million Number of undergraduates at SDSU: ~11,000 Number of undergraduates at MMU : ~30,000 (MMU is only one of 3 Universities within just a few miles of each other.) South Dakota is about the same size as England and has a population of about ~800,000 England has a population of ~51 million. Its gonna be one hell of a culture shock!

From: Lula Svoboda Two of my recent favorites: I mostly fall in love with art for the use of color but the subject matter is also what attracted me. The combination of the dragonfly with a hummingbird... magic! I also love a good composition. This one blew me out of the water. Between the composition and the use of color... wow. Lexxi... you are talented. Two fantastic SL artists! You are both stars! *purrs* Thank you for your kind words

https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/community/blog/2010/01/13/our-thoughts-are-with-haitiLL made a community blog posting about Haiti. I'd encourage people to be discerning in how they may choose to donate to in-world charities. Frankly, I think the best thing to do is make a direct cash donation to an established, legitimate relief and/or non-governmental organization of your choosing. This is an American website, but may be helpful in deciding which charity you'd like to support. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=content.view&cpid=310

My impression, which could very well be wrong, is that South Dakota is covered with snow. About year round.
I know that is not correct, as it is south of Canada. Which would make Canada snow covered year round. And I know I've seen pictures of people in heavy clothing walking around in non-snow covered scenery in Canada. Though they do call Canada the great white north.
