Hey Treasure:

/me laughs. Wonder if he needs an assistant. Remembering that journalist though, from last week or so, gotta wonder where people like this are taking 'students', inworld.

I haven't seen Avatar nor plan to i the near future, but from what I've seen of it, that promo seems awfully disingenuous to me. The movie has really no tie in to SL as I can see. It looks more like a FPS game to me. People may be very disappointed and confused if they come into SL expecting something resembling the movie.

Does this mean you're feeling better? Or not quite yet? Hope you feel great now or very soon, Dear Maureen.

Feeling MUCH better now, thank you. :) I was just...erring on the side of caution this morning.

And had some (relatively bland) soup for lunch. :)

I hear it's so bad people contemplate suicide after watching it.

I finally got the phone call this evening that I expected after seeing the devastation in Haiti on the news this morning.

"Hey Mom, I am going to Haiti on Friday. I got my orders this morning."

He just got back from the Middle-East in early December and sounded really down about leaving his family again so soon. I told him once this mission is over he will look back and be happy that he helped people in their time of need. His wife is amazing and will hold the fort at home.

I am so blessed and so proud he is my son.

Times like this is when our people in uniform truly shine. It is the most noblest of missions, and one that often seems to be overlooked when critics choose to defame our troops at every turn. I know you are already as proud as can be , this just gives you a chance to beam a bit brighter.

Damn, that field trip is scary. Maybe BM would be a better fit for him?

*nods* I've seen the movie - it made me think how inadequate SL can be.

YAY! for you.

and me. today is the best i've felt in two weeks. i caught a cold around new years and even though it was mild, it lingered and i kept getting recurring fevers for over a week and a half. sucky! chased by a lovely 3-day migraine. but i feel better now, and the sniffles are finally all but gone. :)

Many have that view of South Dakota. Yet Souix Falls gets an average of 39.6 inches of snow each year, while Denver gets an average of 61.4. Denver only has about 10-20 more sunny days than Souix Falls.....

The Dakotas WOULD have more snow than Denver, but the wind blows it all away. :p

So true. Too bad the wind can't blow it away for them too, but it is hard to blow frozen snow.

I've just eaten the most random mix of food I've ever had. I was really hungry and had nothing really snacky-like in. SO I decided to make an omlette.
That stuck to the pan, so it turned into scrambled eggs....with cheese because it needs using up....and I threw in an onion because I have zillions of the things cluttering the fridge....then I added the rest of the sweetcorn I didn't use yesterday.

Eggs, cheese, onion, sweetcorn, ketchup and mayonnaise lol. Looked absolutely terrible, but tasted delicious.

other than the mayonnaise and maybe the ketchup (but maybe with the ketchup), I've seen that mix of stuff offered on menus here in the USofA.

an cheese, onion, corn omelet. (I think ham and or bacon normally included in that particular omelet offering)

Oh Lexxi... as well as others suffering from toothaches or headaches... There is nothing worse than pain in your head. You just can't escape it. Big hugs to all of you in pain. I sure hope it passes soon.

If you are like me, up later than most, and you get lonely... you can talk with clever bot:

http://www.cleverbot.com/

Do it! Post your conversations!

Me: Have you heard of the undying thread on Resident Answers?
It: Have you ever heard of Goebbels?
Me: No, tell me more.
It: They are a band. Do you like Fall Out Boy?
Me: I do for the most part.
It: What's wrong?
Me: Nothing, baby... I just wanted to know how you feel about Second Life and their Resident Answers forum.
It: If you were human you wouldn't have wrote 'human'.
Me: ok... human
It: You said approximately 30 seconds ago that you cannot prove you are human.

Time to go to sleep! Carry on Cleverbot!

Poor kitty!
*strokes Lexxi's fur gently*

If there is time before the appt, ask them for a prescription for some valium or other sedative; my dentists have been more than happy to give me something to calm me down before major work. Nothing can make it a good experience, but it helps to not be in a state of total anxiety.

Yes, I had 3 teeth extracted under gas/a shot (forget which). One moment they were putting the mask over my face, the next the doctor had already left the room and I was being helped to stand.

I hope the root canal goes well this morning, and that your mouth feels better afterward.

And that they give you good painkillers. :p
