From: Malia Writer They usually want to hear stuff like what a great opportunity this is for you to learn about other countries/cultures, you love to meet new people/try new things/travel/study other languages, you want to broaden your world view, that sort of thing. Its confuddling me, cause I can do the personal statementy bit which I say all of the above, but theres another bit where I have to prove I've researched SDSU and I have to say what it is that makes me want to go to that particular place. I can't exactly say "Well its the cheapest place in the list by about 5 grand and that it being so small wont scare the hell outta me and make my want my mummy." I think I'll go the 'long established links with this uni' and the course I want to take looks the best there viewpoint lol. Its only a couple of hundred words. I'll get it done in the morning, when I'm not so stressy.

I tried grits recently, they taste very much like any other bland porridge. You have to put something in them to make them tasty, whether it be savory or sweet (or both). Oh if its like porridge I can deal with it. I love porridge. It just looks like a nasty mush  blech. /me now wants re-baked potatoes with cheesy goodness. mmmmm

Its only a couple of hundred words. I'll get it done in the morning, when I'm not so stressy. Can't you just paraphrase whatever their website/brochure uses as selling points? All I can think of is very cold winters, very far from what some of us would consider civilization and um... small town America flavor?

Btw given a choice between melted cheese etc on potatoes or on grits, I personally would never ever choose grits.

And as you say generally safer than a lot of places in the U.S. Lol. I attended Wichita State University in Kansas and dropped out after two years.

Two of my recent favorites:  I mostly fall in love with art for the use of color but the subject matter is also what attracted me. The combination of the dragonfly with a hummingbird... magic!  I also love a good composition. This one blew me out of the water. Between the composition and the use of color... wow. Lexxi... you are talented. Two fantastic SL artists! You are both stars!
