So, if Mischief has ...
FORGET THAT! What does one do in beginning pole dancing that is so hard?

So to speak.

And, what is the tone of the class? Is it giggly, or matter-of-fact, are the attendees there for exercise, or are some thinking of going pro ... dish!

I imagine, in looking at a few of the young fabulous bodies, that a few are looking to go pro. Apparently though, pole dancing is becoming a nationwide craze for exercise. I was, naturally, the oldest one there -- most were probably in the twenties with maybe a couple in their early thirties. Though, once I get past the beginner classes I am told there are more women in the 40s and 50s doing it for exercise.

We start out with yoga type warm-up and stretches. Then, tonight we learned how to walk/prance/strut around the pole and how to do 3 different spins on it. Being out of shape and then trying to swing yourself around a pole is not the easiest thing in the world. Add in my asthma & emphysema and I ended up with a pretty good cardio workout in an hour.

It was fun though. We will probably go to classes 1-2 a week. You cannot go past 'beginner 101' until the instructor says you are ready -- so you do not get hurt. They also offer classes in lap dancing. :o

i hope your headaches are past you now.
Thanks 3, supposedly most people stop having chronic headaches about the time they are my age so I'm hoping...

For 3:
Its hard to see really...

For Kaimi:

It was pretty thin, but I dunno how to thicken it up and didn't have time to play with it too much.

4oz Light Brown Sugar
4oz Butter
100ml full fat milk/cream

Put the sugar and butter in a pan and cook till completely dissolved, don't let it burn. Stir in the milk slowly and keep on the heat till it starts to bubble. Take off the heat and serve.

The recipe said it can be poured over ice cream, sponge puddings, fruit... I bet if I did manage to get it a bit thicker it would be nice on popcorn :p
Thick or not it sounds delicious. Thanks.

Aww... hope it passes soon, and best wishes to you mother and your family.

Can someone please give me back 2 hours I wasted with my life?

I'm not feeling so great this evening so I canceled my rl plans and laid on the couch and watched "The Bachelor". I've never seen it before but what a completely inane show. I don't know why I didn't stop watching it because it was so ridiculous but it was like a train wreck you just couldn't help looking at. :o

I know how you feel. I've watched some movies with Six that I wish I could unwind from my memory. But even though they are unbearably dumb, you want to see how it turns out.

This is what I had for breakfast - grits!

I like 'em plain, though. No butter or anything.

And I'm drinking tea lately. I need a break from coffee. I think I've had so much coffee it's coming out my pores.

Morning all. I found a pretty funny SL blog last night http://beerswithmikaliskaras.blogspot.com

From: someone

boxtard
verb |bäkstärd| [ trans. ]
the act of typing dialogue in the wrong box or chat window either from local to instant message, vice versa, or from instant message to instant message : Did you boxtard that last line?

One of the best ways to avoid boxtarding is to close down chat tabs until your friend replies. Also don't engage in IM's when you're having a special moment with that special someone

Okay, beginning pole dancing is absolutely the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. All my years of dance lessons only barely helped. And my daughter already wants to install a pole in the living room to practice.

:D

Wow, I think this is the first time since I joined this thread that I'm disappointed with the regulars here. It's been several hours since Lil made this post and still no one has posted the mandatory;

PICTURES PLEASE!!!!! :D

Tip for you all. DOn't try to reheat toffee sauce in a microwave and forget about it. The explosion, and subsequent sticky mess, is not easy to clean up! :o

blech. I don't think I'll ever even want to try grits, never mind actually liking them.
Nice bit of knitting there :)

I'm on tea at the moment too, though thats because I've run out of coffee.
For some reason I'm drinking it black too, which is very unusual for me.
