From: Lula Svoboda How about those Cardinals? What a game! That was a great game! The only thing to make it better would have for it to have been played in the snow in Green Bay. Band of brothers is such a wonderful series. I bought the DVD's a couple of years ago, along with Tom Hanks' other HBO series, From the Earth to the Moon, which Ron Howard was also involved in. If you haven't read Band of Brothers, you should as well. I'm sure the Pacific series will be just as good, I am looking forward to it.

From: Lula Svoboda Thank you, Joshooah, for sharing. That is amazing work, Weston! Wow! You have a fine hand. The use of color is fantastic. I can't wait to visit the gallery and see it all! I almost bought that one too. I did buy 3 others though. I thought that 'Lingua' meant language but it means tongue. Duh. I think I'll go back and buy that one too, now that I see it again I do like it.

Who in the Forum Cartel group still owns a mall with available rental space? I"ve lost track of comings and goings.

From: Tex Nasworthy I'm guessing it wont mean much if you are not a fan or familiar with him but New Years day we went to the 13th Annual Townes Van Zandt wake at the Old Quarter in Galveston.
Rex "Wrecks" Bell, also a singer songwriter and longtime friend of Townes is the owner of the Old Quarter. Each year on Jan 1 they hold this wake. About 80 people crammed into this small bar that would comfortably hold 40 people. Half the crowd or more were musicians. They all took turns on the stage playing Townes Van Zandt songs. It was one of the most memorable events I've attended in quite some time. that is VERY cool. you'll never forget it!

From: Seven Okelli Yeah, that netbook was TOO TOO "wee". And SL was too cartoony and slow. I spent a couple hours setting up Windows and realized there was no way I could do any serious work on the thing, so I'm bringing it back.
So I went to Best Buy and told the guy I had to be able to run SL. He was really good - looked up the specs online and showed me a couple that would do the work, told me how they were different. He really knew his stuff... I don't know a lot about hardware, but after two years working with my ex-boss, I can tell if someone else does.
So, now I've got a nice HP with a huge screen and an ATI Radeon HD card and 4G ram and etc. etc. SL looks beautiful in it. ooh...would you mind sending me the specs for that, Seven? I'm a-shopping.

From: Brenda Connolly Thanks for the greetings everyone. Kaimi, you are beyond cool. The Jets were magnificent tonight, thanks in large part to our fabulous rookie QB Mark Sanchez. funny how your favorite football team is also named after your favorite transportation vehicle!

From: Tex Nasworthy Thanks for the coffee. Actually Mrs. Tex did quite well. Her goal was to finish under 3 hours and she made 2:59, so she was really happy. The course was a 13 mile lap with the full marathoners running two laps. I had teased her before the start that the winning marathon runner would pass her twice. She had the last laugh though as finished just ahead of the winner who ran a 3:02. Yay for Mrs. Tex!

From: Maureen Boccaccio Those little netbooks are pretty nifty (eta: I see that you're returning it as it's too small). I have one (by Asus), but even using the Rainbow Viewer, it's a bit difficult to navigate in SL. But that little baby sure is handy for traveling. It's powerful enough for everything I need...other than SL. is the rainbow viewer easier on the graphics card? i could probably find it myself, but make it easy for me and tell me where i can DL that to try out on mine?

From: Joshooah Lovenkraft Here I proudly display the oil painting by Weston Graves in my living room. Yes, I am wearing pajamas. I love Weston's description of the piece and you can visit his exhibition here: slurl.com/secondlife/Livyathan/155/5/43 Linguagorgon by Weston Graves "This piece was done in oils specifically to get into a World Horror Convention show. Otherwise I'm not sure where these ideas come from. I remember showing this piece at a gallery in real life with a group of my fellow genre artists. "Linguagorgon" was hanging about midway down a wall of what I thought were fairly tame, family oriented science fiction / fantasy pieces. An elderly lady came in and started browsing, her frown lines becoming deeper with each piece she tried to examine. When she got to this piece, she turned around and walked out, almost running, swatting at her hair as if bugs were crawling in it. My apologies to you, dear lady, wherever you are, for having that adverse effect on you -- and thanks! You made my day." Love your jammies. And it was great seeing YOU inworld, too!! I really liked the range of subjects in Weston's art. and lol! on Weston's comments for "Linguagorgon"!!

From: Nika Talaj Cool, Seven! But DO NOT use it for SL unless you use a cooling pad. Your little nettie will fry! A cooling pad is a skinny thing with two fans in it that your notebook sits on top of, usually runs off of USB power, 10-30$ depending on where you get it. my laptop doesn't get hot. do i still need one?

From: Lula Svoboda HBO is rebroadcasting the Band of Brothers miniseries. I just finished re-watching episode #1. If you have an appreciation for historical dramas based on real life events... this one is worth your time.
The producers, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks have a new 10 part miniseries, The Pacific. It will begin airing on March 14th. That was my father's war; something he would never talk about. I am hoping to gain further insight to what he went through, and an understanding of why it was so painful for him.
*tears rolling down my face*
OK... three posts in a row. I should stop now. I was just watching one of the BoB episodes yesterday, and we were talking about the new miniseries. I can't exactly say "ooh, I can't wait for the miniseries", as I know it will be difficult to watch, but...I'm sure it will be amazing. and *hugs you close*

From: Marianne McCann G'night an G'morning, all! I hope yer weekend was super! I gotta admit, most of my weekend was spent in RL, an what time I did spend inworld, well, I did not take my piccies of it. I did do a series of piccies at the bowling alley in Bay City, though, so 'm gonna share those! Addressing the ball Down the lane After the 10th frame What time I did spend inworld was spent checking out the Mole work on the railroad (specifically at Crumbi and Pawpaw) and the street signs going in within Bay City, catching a Maximillion Kleene and Beth Odets show, working on some other Bay City stuff, and doing some finishing touches and tweaks in Miramare place and my Bay City plots. Here's hopin' for a super week for us all! Bowling! So much fun. Do they have gutter guides in SL?
