Pictures that large change the whole thread width dramatically and make it harder to load on an already slow board and hard to read. I like giant donuts as much as the next person but damn.

In fact, I did a paper at university discussing the outrageous inequity in salaries -- not between educators and administrators, but between educators and professional athletes in the U.S.
Was your conclusion that the capitalist system, which determines price at the point where supply meets demand, was radically flawed and a socialist/communist regime should be established instead?

Pep (It's a question of what value the market puts on commodities; the ability to kick a field goal from 50 yards is obviously more important than the ability to obtain grants to pay teachers' salaries or to read a text book one week ahead of a class so as to repeat its contents. ;) )

I estimate they are at least 1800 calories each.

And Brenda - I didn't say before, but that photo of you sitting at the bar near Eli: there is a perfect portrait of you in there. No offense, Eli - you know I think you're good-looking, but if it was cropped tighter and only showed her, it would be fantastic.

@Soji - I don't know whether anyone answered your question of how to make links clickable, but I just saw an example: you add a question mark to the end of your URL, and stick it between two IMG tags.

@Lil - That TV photo made me laugh out loud!

@Rhonda - I love the pictures of your old and new homes. Next time we have a home tour, you HAVE to be on it.

About Clover's hat... nice yes, but did you notice her pipe?

Rio: What are the meanings of the words ignorant and apathetic?
Eli: I don't know and I don't care.

Pretty much. One more for my ignore list. Apparently my friendship with you has turned me into an enemy or something overnight. Cause I can't imagine what else I did to him. :(

Yes, I am so tired of that invisible hand f**king with stuff.

@ Eli- dude you are killing me with the sugar rush!

Oh Claire! Loved your colorful shots :)

Another hunt?
/me runs screaming.

lol

Actually, clover is a hunt goddess. She finds all the coll stuff and I get a fat inventory full of things I'll never wear.

Thanks for the breakfast and coffee. I need lots today for some reason. I woke up a little late and did not get my first cup until I made it to work.

On a wild tangent, we have been getting a mass of grasshoppers all over out here. No exactly a swarm of epic scale but a lot of them none the less. Anyway, they made me think of the biblical reference of eating locus and honey. I think I'll pass on that. I have had some adventuresome foods before and as I have gotten old I have become a little less bold in what I will stick in my mouth.

Anyway, long story for a short question: What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I *tried* to eat chicken feet at Dim Sum one time. I couldn't do it. Oh... and I do mean feet, not fingers.

For the record, I certainly did not take exception to Tex's post yesterday about teachers and administrators, etc. Sheesh. It was clever, and at the elementary/secondary school level, it's quite possible it's on target. :D In fact, I did a paper at university discussing the outrageous inequity in salaries -- not between educators and administrators, but between educators and professional athletes in the U.S.

As Lil indicated, I do work at a university, and this is Orientation Week for the new students, so we are slammed. :p

Hope everyone has a good week. :)

Tex has class. and he is on target, at least for all the primary districts i've ever inquired about.

What are you doin eating oxtails? That's a black thang, my sista..... :p I love oxtails, over rice with gravy. I also do chitlins (chitterlings to the uninitiated) and pigs feet. I don't care for tripe, or menudo for that matter (tripe again) but do love a lot of the Filipino delicacies, lumpia, pancit, adobo, mmmmm

Rattlesnake comes to mind. Yep, I think that was the weirdest thing for sure. I eat nearly everything, I feel compelled to try the oddest thing on a menu so, I just had to.
