My brother loves that book, and some of the stuff he's let me see in it too are pretty cool, though why he feels he has to know how to skin a rabbit when he's a vegetarian, I don't know.
Well if he should happen to find a dead rabbit lying on a road not too squished...

Have you forgiven him yet?

Oh yes, but my mother hasn't. She was horrified. I'd never had a haircut, and had long, thick braids. She's 93 now, with alzheimers, but she still remembers that, about my husband. Must have been more traumatic for her than it was for me.

Lol One of my kids cut the bangs of our neighbor's toddler and boy was her mom mad - it was the day before they were going to have family photographs taken.

In honor of my 1000th post, I'll dedicate this one to the educators in the crowd.

A bit of vanity and a question. First, one last look at the flat.

We took down the apartment/roof-top build and I want to build something "in the clouds." I like the way it looks at Pillow Talk's main store, but they have the build set at the top of the system clouds. This makes the foggy wisps float through everything and I really would rather not have it inside the buildings. Instead I will use a few cloud poofers for extra wisps I can control.

So here's the question. Has anyone ever done something like this? Prim clouds or some type? What textures did you use, if I may ask? I currently have tried some prim snow and set the transparency up a little but it comes out looking more like ice. The mist textures I have are small and look like smeared paint when put on a large prim. And finally, looking on SLX has not yielded any leads. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

No, I think she works in one of the admin offices at a university.

I would highly recommend this weather system https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=939882

You can create very cool foggy/cloud like effects with this system and it is really versatile with it's weather effects from rain, snow, hail, hell fire, blood rain, thunder, and tornadoes. Excellent for various moody effects that you can easily change on a whim. You can see a limited demo in world or I can show you at my house sometime if you'd like.

Oh and it's copiable and you can also position the rezzers such that you don't have to worry about it being inside buildings and such.

And you can walk across these clouds? Have them float along ouside but not cross to inside at all in a skybox? Rains, snow and other such effects are not needed as the build will be on the clouds, not under them.

Both the clouds and fog are particle based so you wouldn't be able to walk on them unless you had some sort of invisible prim under them. It can take a bit of time to position everything so it doesn't go inside your skybox. It's a bit hard to explain in words. I'll be inworld after 3pm slt or so, and I could even rez it at your place if you want to see what the effect would look like. I can set to allow anyone to activate the features so you can play with it and see if it's something you'd like. Hit me up after 3pm slt if you'd like.

I've seen several solid cloud builds around...they're quite enchanting. Try Rez Gods for one example...their clouds are commercially available.

However, it shouldn't be too hard to make your own. I'd think a fairly shallow sculptie as the "cloud" part, semitransparent and set to phantom...and a solid flat megaprim, transparent but non-phantom, as a surface to walk upon.

You seem to look Asian in that picture. Maybe it is the hair.

Oh, and I still remember when I meet Sobriquet (or however you spell his name), he offered to hug me. And kicked me in the groin. For a while there I've reminded him every time I saw him. But I've stopped, until now. He offered to hug then kicked me :( First time I meet. It different if I had known him before. Or if I was hovering over him, draping my heaving breasts all over him. Or something.

I remember that, seems so long ago. Was at the hangout, wasn't it?

Oh, OK. Yes, I have partical based clouds already. I called the cloud poofers in the original question. What I need are some good textures for the prim parts at a minimum or some nice, sculpted mega prims with animated could textures would be ideal. I just can not seem to find anything that looks halfway right.

Yes, by the fire pit area. Strange how the fire pit area was the main meeting point at the time. I think people even causally mentioned sadness over the building not being used. Now, of course, hardly anyone uses the firepit area.

Sweet! Thank you, very much.

I keep getting more of an ice look than a cloud look doing it myself.
