. . . so then I just decided to turn into a rhinoceros.

Good night thread denizens. Hope your weather has been as fantastic as Tennessee's. Getting into the 50's F at night. Time to open the windows and air out the house.
And a fine looking rhinoceros you are too. Sleep well.

That looks so cool. (Although it is kind of a shame not to be able to see your darling face better.)

I've been a bit of a rhinoceros lately too. But just a tiny bit:

I need to visit the moon too! And what a weekend for it (thank for posting the SLurl Mo). Have any of the other NASA geeks here been enjoying this site lately?

We Choose the Moon

They are replaying the historic Apollo 11 audio feed in realtime, from the launch to landing on the moon (which will be timed with the 40th anniversary of the event on Monday). Many other goodies there too. I've been listening to it while working. :)

Oh no! Camp is almost over!

Today was mostly spent at RFL (there were a couple non-camp activities too: I'll post about those tomorrow) supporting the Purple Tears team, so most of the piccies I took today were there.

Voting for the camp awards:

I got a luminaria for my RL mommy, who recently (like, 2 weeks ago) went under the knife for breast cancer:

March, march, march:

An now... sleeps:

Tomorrow: the talent show, and goin' home!

One word: Why?????

Product placement!

Hey, I heard that the new viewer has an additional building function that lets you slice prims. Has anyone used it? I thought the new viewer was one crash after another. Is it fixed?

Good morning, people and other critters!

From: Marianne McCann

I got a luminaria for my RL mommy, who recently (like, 2 weeks ago) went under the knife for breast cancer:

Mari, I'll do the doggy version of a prayer for your mom and keep her in my thoughts. You should know that both my mother and my sister had breast cancer, went through surgery and survived. The cancer never came back. My mother survived for 20 years afterward. She passed away a couple of years ago from causes unrelated to cancer. I think we are over the 10 year mark for my sister as well.

With my mother, I remember being angry at the doctors at first, thinking they had disabled her. She had a bit if a time recovering, but soon all was well again. They must know what they're doing. Also I'm sure there have been a lot of advances in the last couple of decades too.

Anyway, hoping for a quick and smooth recovery for her.

Is There Life Out There??

This interesting fellow had a titler above his head, informing us all that he was attending night school so he could become "...a wise latina".

(Pet rant - cause rants like to be petted - I find the use of the word 'latina' or 'latino' in an otherwise english conversation annoying. The word is Hispanic. Thank you. /rant)

I think it all depends where you are from Amar. They mean the same things. According to the all knowing wiki...

The term "Latino" was officially adopted in 1997 by the United States Government in the ethnonym "Hispanic or Latino", which replaced the single term "Hispanic": "Because regional usage of the terms differs -- Hispanic is commonly used in the eastern portion of the United States, whereas Latino is commonly used in the western portion."[7]

We use both in my part of town. Which is 98 percent Spanish.

Morning threadies. Lots of stupid crap to do today in sucky RL. Have a good day everyone.:)

Yes it does and I love it. The best thing about it is when I cannot find a mega prim at just the right thickness. If 1.23 is giving you trouble, try Snowglobe -- it has the slice function also.

Hey thanks for that - Didn't realize there was even and official adption of it. However, /me is remaining firmly Hispanic when the adjective is appropriate, but as American as apple pie (a la mode?) :D .

LOL...I'm sure the pyramids were surprised when you showed up!

Isn't it great when you can have the windows open? I love my air conditioner, and could not imagine living without it (comfortably), but boy, I sure miss the fresh air blowing in the window. :)
