dressed awfully fancy for lounging. is there something you want to tell us? :o :p

i love that large flower in the background.... :)

I like the flower too, and any 'non' photo realistic fantastical SL plants and flowers. Usually you can find that stuff on fairy sims but that one came from Shiny Things.

Yeah, I just wanted to relax and get out of business pantsuits and glasses mode for a day and just enjoy some lightweight fun stuff that I usually don't wear. It was a nice day. I had just started relaxing when someone asked me to come over and chat with a new deaf SL resident....so the silks had to go and I had to look professional once again, but they were fun while they lasted....

excellent review. is this the first time he's been in the lead in his entire career, or just this season?
Good question! He won the 2007 Tour de France. In 2008 his whole team were - unfairly, I think - not invited to the participate because of some doping by completely different people on the team in the past. Last year he did win both of the other two big tours, the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España. He has probably been favored to win by Las Vegas odds makers since before the 2009 TdF started. (I don't really know anything about that.) He skipped the Giro this year, probably to peak for the Tour de France but he has racked up quite a few wins this season in smaller races. He's 26,

when the last census came around, i almost ended up in jail because at first i refused to answer the census. when i finally did cave in because i was threatened, i refused to label myself anything other than American. i guess i was more stubborn than they could back up, because they finally left me alone.

but i remember being angry for a long time about that. it's no one's business what nationality anyone is. it just doesn't matter. people have these damm causes that they want us to all assimilate and be a "melting pot" and then those same people spend countless monies trying to divide us by color.

3, no one is more anti-authority than me, but I worked for the last census. Not door to door, but in their recruiting office. I feel confident no one was trying to violate your privacy or separate the races.

The census questions are just a way of discovering demographics on the off chance the government would want to make informed decisions for a change, and also for researchers. If it turned out that a certain demographic, race, or culture, was more immune to some diseases, for instance, it might really help researchers to know where that demographic is concentrated. Then they can begin to determine if it's something in the genes or cultural or environmental that creates that immunity. That's just an example. I know it looks like information that could be used for nefarious purposes, but in this case I don't think it's being used that way.

Or maybe I still have modicum of idealism left in me.

As for the other personal seeming questions, like how many bathrooms are in your house - it's all stuff they can find out anyway by researching, but it just takes longer and costs more taxpayer dollars.

Anyway, I grabbed this shot as we were wrapping up today. Has nothing to do with the baubbles, just a nice picture of us with our new skins :)

Fantastic shot, but that was a little more up close and personal than I intended to get with Ghosty.

Treaure, you should let your hair down (so to speak) more often if you get the chance. That's a great pic of you. I had to laugh at myself when I saw this picture. With that outfit and with the arms crossed like that, I thought you were like a black-haired Barbara Eden from "I Dream of Genie." I think she used to cross her arms to perform magic or some such. But that was all before my time of course ;)

Oh! Neat picture! First few times I've gone across this post there was just the heading that you were taking a day off, no picture.

I have just discovered I am not really up past my bed time. That would be impossible since it cannot be my bed time if I am not actually in a bed. It's sort of like going to the North Pole and trying to head north.

However it needs to be my bed time, so good night Threadizens. May you dream of love and splendor and really cool stuff.

Well it is past my bed time! And I am on page 2009 which seems pretty cool. I need sleep - goodnight Threadies-

What a wonderful day.

One last camp report...

We were still at RFL in the morning:

Talent show was today. I was part of a bicycle circus:

We all protested leaving:

In the end, we all had to pack up:

...and where camp was, a terraformed message from the directors:

Best. Camp. Ever.

Best. Camp. Ever.
I know I had the best time experiencing it through your pictures.

I just read that Frank McCourt has died. 'Angela's Ashes" was the saddest book I ever read. I hope his later years were much happier than his childhood.

An I actually even have a *regular* weekend update, too!

Obviously, camp was the big thing, as well as our involvement with RFL. We raised a ton of Lindens for RFL. We also had a ton of events, including all the stuff you saw in the piccies, a lot of rounds of "Mad Gab" and other word games, karaoke, and so on an so on. Tons of events and stuff. Really, while I did so so much, there is tons I did not do. Lots of events missed, lots of activities I never got around to. I don't think anyone could have done it all.

There were a couple times over the weekend, though, where I ended up... not at camp. I had a "signout" for a couple things, an there was a time or two when the sim had to restart.

So here, jes because, are a couple more piccies from those times that did not exactly fit in a camp update. Thankoo f'r indulgin' me. :-)

Stopped by my Bay City store only to find Ravenelle Zugzwang catchin' butterflies. I helped:

New construction behind my Bay City store. Love how this piccie came out, cuz it totally does not look like SL:

Saturday night fireworks:

And one more thing, for the curious or bored.

Every camp also has a "camp video," a way of remembering what was. This was the one done this year, by Gattz Gilman, one of the directors. Some of the piccies are mines, but a lot aren't, and will give a more complete view of the event overall.

I hope he did too. Not hard for it to be better, though.

Glad you enjoyed the piccies. I took tons more of em, too, at http://www.sluniverse.com/pics/AlbumView.aspx?id=1240

We all protested leaving:

i KNEW it! i just knew it!!! all those claims about what a troublemaker you are MUST be true, and here you've gone and posted proof!!!

:p

(weird... not only did my "quoting" of your picture not show, but ALL of your pictures have disappeared. hopefully just temporarily)

Why do my cats want me dead? Every morning they both circle my feet trying to trip me or something. I feed them and they still do it,like they weren't quite done yet trying to kill me....

/me sits down, glares at Pep and patiently waits for Maureen.

Have a wonderful day threadies.:) Happy Monday.

Fantastic shot, but that was a little more up close and personal than I intended to get with Ghosty.

That's nothing. The day he made them,he asked me to come to the hangout and look at them. So I did and had to cam his head since they were on his ears. I told him not to tell Elora I was camming him so close.I felt dirty.:o

Just stopping by, saying hi! Been a busy week, getting used to the new job on a fulltime basis - three more days and "she" is out of there. Wednesday they are throwing a goodbye/hello party for her and I, a nice gesture and will be interesting watching the entire staff get smashed :p

Ghosty and I are doing great. I've been modeling for him for days now; he's been creating jewelry and I'm the face behind the ads thus far (not sure if you can really see me or not yet, since they are earrings and he obviously needs to focus on *them* not me).

Anyway, I grabbed this shot as we were wrapping up today. Has nothing to do with the baubbles, just a nice picture of us with our new skins :)

Hopefully, will check in more frequently as the job settles down.

Dang Elora! You both look great.

It's weird seeing Ghosty not all white and poofy though.

Yes - but the constitution only requires a head count so that the number of representatives can be determined. All the other crap is just stuff they have added in the last few census counts.

ETA -- Actually, I just looked it up and the law is that you can be fined for not responded and fined even more for lying, but there is nothing that states you can be sent to jail. And according to the Census Bureau, nobody has actually ever been fined for not sending in the form.

Last time I politely told the guy there were two adults in the house, then very unpolitely told him to get the #$#$@#% off my porch and come back with a warrant if he wanted to know anything else. He didn't come back.

This year if I catch one of the SOBs on my land with a GPS unit I will sic the dog on them.

Good morning, Threadies.

I was thinking, since it's Monday, some folks could use a coffee mug like this:
