In 2008 his whole team were - unfairly, I think - not invited to the participate because of some doping by completely different people on the team in the past. Last year he did win both of the other two big tours, the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España. He has probably been favored to win by Las Vegas odds makers since before the 2009 TdF started. (I don't really know anything about that.) He skipped the Giro this year, probably to peak for the Tour de France but he has racked up quite a few wins this season in smaller races. He's 26, wow! he's had quite the career. i had heard his name before, which is why i asked about him specifically. thanks for the bio. |
