@Oryx -- *hugs*, thinking of you

Welcome back, Mo -- Brenda is right, we are really overdue for some just plain old strong black coffee

Pep did try and gave us a nice little tour while he was at it, but I would rather experiment with my lunch or dinner, not my coffee.

LOL! Guess who's now chatting with a 23 yr old "animator want-to-be:? :D

At least she's in a prestigous school.

My ex kept whining about school & not wanting to take a student loan. Which is WHY she's moving to Kentucky- to stay with friends, work at a mall, pay for rent & a FULL college tuition with what she makes flipping burgers so she can be a "fashion designer".

Uh, yea. You figure out whats wrong with that ;)

*pours coffee*

Good morning everyone! I'm back in modeling classes (different agencies, different schools) so for the next two weeks, don't expect to hear a lot from me in the evenings.

Hopefully though, this will get me back on the runway! Woot! Didn't think I'd miss it nearly as much as I have.

Hope everyone has a marvelous day! ;)

Happy day to all!

I'm still home sick but made myself feel better by booking a Bermuda cruise today for Ghosty and I; woohoo! NCL was running a sale too good to pass up for the week of my birthday so we bit the bullet and went ahead with it. Guaranteed balcony room, with possible upgrade if we're lucky and since I've sailed with them a few times before, hopefully we'll get some perks thrown in eventually too :)

Time to go on a shopping spree! Weeee!

:( I'm sorry you still aren't better Elora.

But...YAY on the cruise! That'll be a great treat for the two of you! I sit and look wistfully at them every year, and never book. *sigh*

Thanks Jer, getting there at least.

It will be my 3rd cruise (or 4th? I'm having trouble remembering) and Ghosty's first. He's freaking out lol. I've been to Bermuda once before and looking forward to returning, since the last time there I never got a chance to see the beaches - did tours of the island mostly because my leg was messed up and it was easier to be carted around in style with an air conditioned bus awaiting me if I got tired; let alone walking on sand was a real issue as I'd just come off crutches or a cane, if I remember correctly  The pool on the boat was more my speed lol.

I recommend cruising to everyone. I was one of those people who was convinced I'd hate it. Being cooped up on the boat, thought it would be too "corny" or something, expected terrible food, whatever. But I was SO wrong. It's a relaxing, luxurious way to spend a week, and you're catered and pampered at every moment. Would do it each year if I could manage it.

hail the Coffee Goddess!

*I know Pep tried, but.........*

I've never been on a cruise. I keep meaning to try one of those short cruises to nowhere to see if I like it, but the dates have never worked out for me. Plus while I've heard plenty from people who love them, I've also heard just as many horror stories it seems.

I thought that is all retired school teachers did was go on cruises. Course you'd have to dye your hair blue first.

Yeah, plus depending on the Line, my friends have told of some real nightnare crews, not speaking English, being very unprofessional etc. Not to play The Ugly American, but I'm leery of anything that isn't a US or UK flagged ship.

this is the third attempt: they are trying to convince me to go on an Alaskan cruise next fall. i won't have to pay a dime, but i don't think i can do it. i r a-scared.

plus, i would mush rather vacation in a warm climate, not one where i'm required to wear a down jacket and ear muffs just to step outside.
