From: Pie Serendipity Makes SL look quite competent does it? Pie (wonders whether SL's dislike of threads regarding competing virtual worlds extends to threads relating to competing forums?) Hey- this is 3's effort to keep us all together if this goes to shit- so don't be so quick to trash it- she didn't have to go thru the effort!- it's a way to keep the Thread alive dammit

From: 3Ring Binder very cool to learn about you. we were hearing rumor that bees have dwindled to dangerously low amounts, and then noticed that so many keepers place their bees by the highways where cars can kill them off probably faster than they can reproduce. Yes - it was mostly winter 2007/2008 and winter 2006/2007 (particularly that one) that the biggest losses were incurred. The cause has been narrowed down to an unlucky combination of disease (new strain of an old virus) and parasites. In the meantime, a lot of untrue theories and speculation had been floated, mostly by non-beekeepers, and there was just a lot of misinformation making the rounds, thanks to the internet. By way of summary, the bee die-off had nothing to do with: 1) Cell phones or cell phone towers, 2) Microwave or radio transmissions, 3) Genetically-engineered crops, 4) Particular beekeeping techniques (that aren't already known to be bad) Also, Einstein never actually said anything about bees, in case you heard a rumor that he did. But, the gals are on the way back, so hopefully whatever-it-was is done for the most part.

But, the gals are on the way back, so hopefully whatever-it-was is done for the most part. Good news. (Especially about the cell phone towers - I don't know if the public could ever have been persuaded to choose bees over cell phones. Even if it did mean we'd all be dead in four - or six - years.)

in dark now. darkness pools from ceiling. eats room. room filled with tiny unicorns of evil delight
above the gibberish, deceptively corrupt. rat token. Meow bait kitty sleeps, and dreams strange dreams.
one dream involved writing gibberish, wonder if skin will show ink in morning. hope, though, gibberish on skin, and not elsewhere. more visible to
cat does not snore, but still gives slight indication of sleep

From: 3Ring Binder it's not meant to compete, Danny boy. it's in place in case this one goes kaput. You could say exactly the same, in justification, about alternatives to SL. Pie (You and Amara should do something about that oversensitivity of yours; I am sure Brenda could recommend something)

Good morning Threaddites! If Honey's smiling then the day is already off to a good start. That's awesome about the bees Cody. Beekeepers up here are in high demand in the spring for the apple orchards. I'd love a disease/parasite attack on the japanese beetle problem though. They destroy my grapes.
