Same here. If it's more than an hour or so flight, I go first class or not at all.Unless there is a pressing time factor, if it is withing a day's drive, I drive or sometimes take the train. I love the actual flying, but airports and airlines have become absolute horror shows, I avoid them at all costs.
I can tolerate up to 3-4 hours in coach, but that is my limit. Found that out my first trip to Hawaii -- 6-7 hrs in coach and I was the biggest bitch around.

And I detest airports with a passion. Love the business class lounges though.

Hey! I was born and raised in NY. Here's how i see it. You can add layers to keep warm... but there's only so much you can take off if you are hot and not get arrested ;)

@Jerry. Don't stay in The City. Stay in Jersey. If you are driving, you can get a place in the central part of the State, take a train into The City, and be closer to that "person" you are referring to.Look into places in the Parsippany/Morristown area. It's surrounded by all the major highways and about less than a hour by train into The City.


That's a thought...but, I'm coming from the North. :)

So maybe a spot up there, and take the train down? Hmmm....

Erm...and the cat's out of the bag, "I'm" the person. It's just a solo trip..well a trio. Me, Myself, and I.

If I decide to do it that is. Apr 24-26th.

Drive/fly. I don't know if it's worth the extra $300 for the ticket. I could drive, pay two days parking, and save that bit of money. Or still pay parking at the airport, and transportation, and stress about catching the return flight on Sunday.

Every year, I talk about a trip to NYC, but haven't gone through with it yet. Maybe this time I'll leap. :)

yeah well try 14 hours to japan in coach... i couldnt move for 2 weeks

Even so, you can be overly hot at a nude beach... i have tried it on a hot summer day here in Florida. Didn't help. I was sweating just as bad.

meh...14 hours was my everyday flight when I was in the Navy. (P-3 patrol planes).

Coach is *much* more comfortable.

It's the airports that I can't stand.
