Good morning, threadies!

Mari, your update made me smile. I loved the bubbles pic...and groaned along with you as you sorted inventory. That hair from the Hair Fair was priceless!

I visited Tableau on Saturday, and gave those flowers the same lesson. They must be slow learners. :D Did you go into the store which had all the old folks' avvies clothes for sale? And I liked that house that was airborne, wrapped up like a present, tied with a bow and suspended by balloons!

Oooh...fireworks...oooh.

I've never tried the 7Seas fishing...but congrats on the custom fishies!

*******************

I'm hoping we're done talking about bees and wasps....

Tod...ouchies. :(

Pie...that ice cream looks yummy, and I'm with Brenda...that bacon thingie looks delicious!

Good morning everyone!

The snowboarding was a blast this weekend. But 12 pages of catching up to do! *boggles* eep!

Hope everyone had a good if hour-shortened weekend. :)

Here's to another nifty week.

Crap! Ever have one of those yellow-green spiders drop on you? Or an earwig bite you? Or one of those big hairy hunting spiders drop on you??

/me raises hand

Was bitten by a brown recluse spider when I lived in Florida years back. Now THAT was unpleasant. If anyone is familiar with them, they are poisonous and the bites are quite nasty to say the least. My whole right leg pretty much blew up in a days time. Damn thing was hiding in my pants leg, got me when I got to work and I didn't realize what it was until I got home that night and got undressed and noticed this gigantic welt on my thigh which kept getting larger and hotter as the night progressed. By the next day - well, I'll spare the details. Needless to say, a trip to the doctor was in order.

I agree about bugs in general. Not a fan at all.

And aside from that - good morning to everyone. Time to think more pleasant thoughts. I too need more coffee. This daylight savings thing always screws me up the first couple of days

@ Amara - BTW, I LOVE Cracker Barrel! That breakfast looks fantastic :)

Being "partially retired" sure has its perks (that's a nice way to look at it) but back to work eventually I must go :(

Since we're on this bug thing... when I lived out in the sticks I saw so many weird bugs I didn't even know existed.

One time my daughter was screaming about a spider in the bathroom, so I ran to the rescue. There was this BIG furry-looking round spider walking across the floor. There was something odd about the way I looked, but I didn't think about it, I just took off my shoe and slammed that sucker with my heel.

Oh my god - the spider wasn't furry at all! It was covered with its CHILDREN! Several dozens of tiny spiders went scurrying off the (literal) mother ship and disappeared into the corners of the bathroom.

Of course I expected an infestation, but lucky it never came.

Or maybe we moved before they came out?

LOL...my new photographer friend put a couple of pictures up on his flickr of me, and is thrilled with the number of hits and favorites they've received (not very high in my book).

Shall we make his day?

 This reminds me of my worst bug story. My son was about 12 years old and I was staying with him at his dad's house in Houston, while his dad was out of the country for awhile. Although we had had the exterminators out several times the house was still full of roaches. I mean it was awful. They were all over the otherwise pretty nice neighborhood. So one night we're watching tv and a really big one walks across the floor. I think we each had a can of Raid ® and we had to spray it for quite awhile before it finally was still. So then as we were trying to talk each other into disposing of the body - did I mention it was at least 3 inches long? - hundreds of tiny roaches started pouring out of the body in all directions. A lot more spraying...
