From: LittleMe Jewell a comparison of last year's to this year's: http://www.dbforums.com/archive/index.php/t-990736.html I like very few of any of them. I like the dress than Anne Hathaway has on this year, but she is just too skinny no matter what you put on her. I think the next couple are hideous last year and this year. Penelope's dress this year is cute, but looks like a wedding gown. I actually like both years for Amy Adams. Erm...database forum??

Just a little bit more. My son and I drove up to the race course early in the morning. I dropped him and his bike off about 30miles (48.3km) into the race. He rode to the top of Palomar and stationed himself in a great place to see the riders go by. And then after they did he was able to ride to another spot on the mountain in time to see them again. This is a picture of him (the spectator) we got from the tv coverage we recorded. That's tour winner Levi Leipheimer in the yellow jersey. I stationed myself on the first climb of the day. A lot of people had spent the night on Palomar then the road was closed in the morning. And only serious endurance atheletes made it up under their own power. But I was in a good spot where it was enough of a climb to slow the riders a little bit and a good view down to a lower part of the road. Then they came back past me three hours later - decending terrifyingly fast. There were tons of fans all over the place and it was a lot of fun. This is from a video I made:

Going thru the Times Online photo gallery (my female catty comments): OMG - I love the blue one that Freida Pinto wore. Angelina Jolie looks classy, I like her dress. Viola Davis' dress looks very nice on her; as does Natalie Portman's What in the hell was Tilda Swinton wearing - that is really yuck. Ditto for Beyonce. Also horrid is Whoopi's, Queen Latifah, Marion Cotillard, What is with the wedding gown look this year - I saw three or four that looked the person was trying to be a bride. I'm undecided on Miley Cyrus - I think I sort of like the dress (with a different belt for sure), but not so sure I like it on her.

From: Rioko Bamaisin I see no pictures at that link Lil. Fixed - I am remoting to my pc from work and forgot that copy/paste works differently in that mode. And fixed again - apparently I am having a hard time multi-tasking today. /me makes a note to stop staying up so late playing in SL.

From: FD Spark What I have missed? I am not feeling like scrolling back. Just life nothing too traumatic- you'll pick up as you go along. I am sure folks will pop in and give little synopsis if they are so inclined. Myself, I have become a class talking junkie and am spending lots of time flitting from class to class- I am developing a bald spot from scripting classes making me tear my hair out! You can see my newest fascinations in my blog. We've had various degrees of drama outside the Thread- this remains the place to hide out. We have a few new Threadies too- Mo' just had a Rez day as did Mari- plenty of nice pix abound. Hmmm- Oh- and Mac and Trout have both made recent appearances - anything else I am sure some will add.

From: HoneyBear Lilliehook LOVE Tina's...so classy! Honey wants Tina was pure elegance, by far my fave. I thought Amy Adams was nice as well. I actually like Queen Latifa's dress too. Ann Hathaway, Natalie Portman, and Diane Lane also very nice. Evan Rachel Wood doesn't look human...she looks like a made-up runway model in that picture. Too..something...for an actual evening. But the lines of her dress are nice. The worst by far was Biel's. And Sophia Loren...not a good look for such an elegant lady.

From: Jerboa Haystack And Sophia Loren...not a good look for such an elegant lady. Yes, the dress was far too young for her. She should be wearing the sleek elegant lines that she's so famous for.

From: LittleMe Jewell What in the hell was Tilda Swinton wearing - that is really yuck. Ditto for Beyonce. Also horrid is Whoopi's, Queen Latifah, Marion Cotillard,
Tilda Swinton is a peculiar one. Her dresses are downright classics but sometimes she picks things that go one step overboard for being avantgarde, and with her looks being so severe looking and wearing little or no makeup, it just takes away from the whole look. As for Whoopi - nothing she wears is right on her. She has a very matronly body shape and doesn't do well in dresses. All things considered, the one she had on last night was far better than many I've seen her in lately. Queen Latifah has the same problem - big girl, busty, not a lot you can put her in that's going to do that figure good. And did anyone notice how many grey dresses there were this year? I think everyone was mourning their stock portfolios taking nosedives

For everyone that was interested in the Fish making class a couple weeks ago-
"The Dreams annual Health and Education Community Fair is featuring Golda Stein teaching.
Golda makes fish. She has made so many fish, that she decided to share some of her fishy secrets.
This class is intended for the builder who has good basic building skills and wants to gain more practical experience.
Subjects covered includes: special building techniques, texture tricks and script adjustments."
EDIT: 02/24/2009 @ 6:00 PM SLT- Look in the Events if you want the location exactly cause i can't seem to copy it.
