Good Morning Threadlandia! :D :D :D

It's a breathtakingly beautiful morning here in the frozen north. 15F, and clear. This time of year my commute starts at dawn. After yesterday's storm, the trees are encrusted in ice and snow. Dawn this morning brought an explosion of color to the treetops. That time of day when the tops are glowing with light, but the earth is still bathed in shadow....a view to lift the spirits of even the most curmudgeonly among us. :)

We still have 68,000 or so without power though. :( Hopefully today work crews will be able to make great progress. I passed a convoy of 6 power trucks on their way to work on downed lines.

Walter Hoover, a Joplin Missouri Resident Fired Shots at His Television After He Couldn't Get it to Work

A 70 year old man, Walter Hoover, was upset over the new digital transition happening and shot his TV as a result.

Charged with wreckless discharge of a firearm, he was said to reply "Wreckless? Hell! I hit just where I was aimin'!"

(ahem...I made that last part up...)

Some stations switched on the 17th, hence Mr. Hoover's frustration.

The rest will convert some time in June, I believe.

@ Katheryne- Occupational hazard? u build nekkid?
Hey, I put my all into my houses! ;)

Okay, seriously - I was referring to the occupation I hold that is getting my rent paid (dancing). I'm still working on trying to set up a vendor so I can actually sell the houses I've been building!

Although.... I do occasionally build nekkid. :D

Ah thanks. One tv is only used for the PS2 and the other never leaves the cartoon channel. So I haven't noticed anything different.:p

If you have cable, then you never will.

Yes, but only two of the tvs have the box. I thought they all needed a box now or am I misinformed?:)

If your TV already has a digital (ATSC) tuner, it does not need a digital converter box.
If your TV is connected to a cable box, it does not need a digital converter box.
If your TV is connected to digital satellite, it does not need a digital converter box.

If your TV lacks a digital (ATSC) tuner and relies on over-the-air reception, it needs a digital converter box.

Hope that clears it up.

The advantage Tres, is that we'd be new stuff to both of them and they'd be unsure of what to expect, so they'd be on their best behavior for a few days. We treat them really, really badly, and then trade back....they'll love us again! ;)

i dont think i'll make clothes to SELL anymore. i don't really like spending my time in photoshop doing that. i might make some for ME, but not to sell. i DO love making textures, however.

so, i think i'll close my store (for good this time) and focus on primmy things like furniture, decor and fun stuffs.

i still have a set of pajamas to make i promised Bec (that i never finished), cuz i just feel all unhappy when i sit and know i have to make it. ugh. after i make those jammies, i'm out of the clothing business for good. i'm only announcing this so it'll force me to stand by my word and shut down.

all those IM's i get inworld of threats to be sued for using the same name as other stores (even though i KNOW mine was there first) - well, all those 3 people should be very happy now. LOL

mine cannot be tricked. she is a majorly unhappy, bitter, lonely and angry woman. and apparently i am her dog to kick around. makes work unpleasant. i love the kids, but the work atmosphere is the pits. enough to make me quit the profession altogether. i dont think you want to trade. something tellls me you would not like the ALL DAY LONG attempts at degradation, mistreatment and humiliation.

Ummm...no, you're right about that. I'm just dealing with some major passive-aggressiveness lately, which I despise. Hopefully, she'll get over this crap soon!
