OK kiddies, I'm off for a little sleepy nap. In the meantime, here's a snack from Canada:

Maple sugar candies... nom nom nom!

I vote for Miley Cyrus. I am so NOT up on her, but she isn't exactly a "small" girl I suppose and the dress she had on made you well aware of it, let alone this large plastic looking belt it came with. Not good.

Beyonce...Heidi Klum...I liked their dresses less than Miley's. Although Miley's belt has to go.

Ok...I might catch flak here, but I didn't mind Miley's dress. It was cutesy, and young. I thought it fit her well.

I'd be more concerned about something like Jessica Biel's dress.

What was that? A big flappy-thing flopping down the front. No real shape..the skirt completely unflattering.

I know it's Prada...but...ewww.

/me wonders if the fish are edible.

:D

Amara, the build looks great. I like the re-texturing you did around the pond, and the addition of the tree/greenery. :)

Thanks- Jesse and Argent munched on my fishies :(
The pebbles were Marcel's idea- much better that grass huh?

I just looked at pics of all the dresses. Maybe I have no taste, but I pretty much thought they all sucked. Maybe if someone would have worn boots I would have approved more.:o

For your edification:

Us flat chested women are always being advised to wear stuff like this to "distract" from the lack of interest our chests normally generate. I've never believed it.

a comparison of last year's to this year's:

(link corrected)
http://www.glamour.com/fashion/blogs/slaves-to-fashion/2009/02/oscars-2009-2008-dresses.html
(I'll get it right yet)

I like very few of any of them. I like the dress than Anne Hathaway has on this year, but she is just too skinny no matter what you put on her. I think the next couple are hideous last year and this year. Penelope's dress this year is cute, but looks like a wedding gown. I actually like both years for Amy Adams.

Stage 8 yeaterday at the 2009 Tour of California was the most difficult of the Tour. It was 96.8-miles (155.8km) from Rancho Bernardo to Escondido, the first time the race has traveled to my neck of the woods, San Diego County.

There were many attacks and an early break was established but then caught on Palomar Mountain, an above categorization climb that peaks at 5123 feet, the highest summit ever reached in the Tour. There an elite group formed which included two time Tour of California winner Levi Leipheimer who is a US rider with Kazakhstan team, Astana, and his closest rivals – David Zabriskie, a US rider with team US team Garmin-Slipstream and Michael Rogers, an Australian rider with US team Columbia-High Road. These three started the day in first, second and third place in the overall competition.

On the descent Frank Schleck (of Luxembourg on Danish team Saxo Bank) and Vincenzo Nibali (Italian on Italian team Liqui-Gas) pulled away from the rest of the breakaway. After rounding the final corner, Schleck made his move and pulled away for the stage win.

Leipheimer's team set the pace for the peleton to preserve his lead in the Tour.

George Hincapie, a US rider with Columbia Highroad won the group sprint to claim 3rd place for the day.

Final results for The Tour of California:
1. Leipheimer 31hours 28minutes 21seconds
2. Zabriskie 31 28 57
3. Rogers 31 29 06

Team Astana won the Team Competition.
Mark Cavendish, UK rider on US Team Columbia-High Road won the Sprint Competition.
Jason McCartney US rider on Danish team Saxo Bank won the King of the Mountains title.
For the third consecutive year, Dutch rider Robert Gesink of the Dutch team Rabobank won the Best Young Rider award.
