She is Ned's recent collar. She actually did arrive with a skimpy bikini on. Not sure why the bikini came off though.

Ah, well if she's a "collar" then being naked sort of doesn't surprise me as much. Probably was a request in that case.

You were correct. She was in pants when I arrived at the beginning, then went to this one piece suit and then later she changed it to the skimpier two piece number.
:)

Heh..this is the tank top I was wearing at the beginning of the party...when I went to change to my swim suit, I was having some wardrobe malfunction issues and could not quite locate the top to my suit. :o :p

It matched the swimsuit bottoms pretty well

Happy Rez Day Mari

@Mo, sorry I could not make your party. It looked like a great bash though

I took a break from SL over the weekend and went out to enjoy the sunshine. I rarely post RL pics but here in NZ we have a quaint little port town called Lyttleton, and they had their summer street party on Sunday which I went to. Here are the piccies:

Here are some general Lyttleton pictures too because it is a very pretty port:

@ Gabriele - Thanks for the RL photos! NZ is one of those places I hope to see before I get too decrepit to appreciate it :p Looks like it was a fun crowd and a gorgeous day to be out. We need you to send some of that lovely weather to NJ!

Well, since I simply can't stop building, I'm already in the middle of my next project, which is military service caps.

I've seen lots of military uniforms for sale, and the uniforms are usually done pretty good, too - but when it comes to the hats, well...I guess some of the clothing makers are as good at building as I am at making clothing. The hats just look roughly-chiseled, angular, just not very realistic at all. I don't want anyone to get mad at me for bashing their efforts, I just think I can do better. And so, I'm going to.

That hat's not done - it's missing the strap buttons, and I wanna make a better device texture - but it's a good enough demo. My finished service caps will have appropriate cloth textures; smooth, round shapes, and accurate insignia, and they'll look a bit closer to real service caps than most of the ones you can buy on SLX.

I plan on doing the whole set for the US military (which oughta be fun when I get to the Navy, since they have like twenty different kinds). I'll try and make some female caps, too.

@Gabriele: what great photos! Thank you so much for sharing them. :) I like being able to picture you there in NZ. :)

@Kay: thank you! And I keep missing you at the hangout...my timing's awful!

@Mari: Happy Rez Day! :) (well, according to my clock, it's 12:36 am on Monday, so I've missed your rez day by a bit more than a half hour. :() I hope you had a great one, and I'm sorry I missed the Festival of Mari this evening.

@Cody: the military hat's coming along really nicely!

@Soji and Rioko: With respect to the Oscars, I have a sister who reminds me of such events. :p

@Elora: I thought the show was fabulous tonight! I liked the new format. Hugh Jackman did a great job.

A must see, Dresden Gallery. Hera and I were there almost 2 hours tonight and I don't think we scratched the surface of an amazing build. Thank you my angel for our time tonight.

Thankoo both! I also missed yours, for which I apologize Maureen!

This seems like a good time for the weekend rap, huh?

So on Friday I find out about the "Dunk A Linden" going on in Dreams. So needless to say, I went there and dunked Lindens. I splashed Colton, Oskar, Sally, Alexa, Cake, MJ, Perilapse, Betsy, Mia, Niko, and Garry Linden, as well as Bug Tester. Of particular note was Mia, who I had helped jes a bit with getting ready today. I had helped her with getting floaties, and gave her one of the nose plugs I made some time ago. I then took this piccie of her...

...which she has now used as her profile piccie. That's two Lindens I've ended up doin' profile piccies for (the other was Kimmora Linden, who I shot at the Hug A Linden).

'course, a lot of the weekend was tied up in doing rez day stuff. I did a series of piccies on Snapzilla, going back to the places I used to hang out in before growing down. So many of them are gone, but a few remain. If yer interested, catch these piccies at

I had a huuuge party, as ya'll know. It was marred by a last minute change, as Keiko Takamura had to cancel due to an emergency, but I was able to get another great artist to fill in at the last minute, and all was well. Had a huge turnout! I'd love to show you more but...

Every photo I took never arrived at Snapzilla.
All of them.
All the ones my friends took an sent there too.

Seems as if some weird SL bug caught me and others. So I'm gonna borrow a piccie from a friend of mines from offa flickr.

Photo by Molly Montale, of me and RacerX Gullwing table dancing.

Had some great people there, though. Thankoo to all who came and enjoyed the evening!

Oh, and jes to keep with the theme, here's me, and me. What a difference three years makes!

Have fun, everybuggy!

Thank you, Mari, for your weekend update - the "Dunk a Linden" sounded like a lot of fun!

Your rez day party looked great; sorry about the pix problem!! :(

And yes, what a difference some time has made in the three years you've been in SL. I'm glad you're here, Mari. :)

@ Maureen - Oscars were fantastic last night! Hugh was unbelievable, that opening number was the best one I remember in years. It was also the first time I managed to stay awake for the whole thing in years - and the pace of it had a lot to do with it. They really tried hard to keep it tight this year. Just seemed a lot classier, less BS and I loved the idea of the past winners presenting to the new winner. Overall, a wonderful show.

Yea Kate Winslet for finally winning!

Yes, yes, yes!! I LOVED the opening...and when Hugh finished with "and I'm Wolverine!!", my sister and I almost died laughing. We jumped to our feet and were hooting and hollering.

It was an awesome show...and it was over by midnight (9 pm SLT)!! I was stunned.
