<snip> Or sushi when sliced thin, rolled in rice, or sashimi if no rice. All just as yummy.

Sashimi is Japanese for heaven ;) - or it should be

One of my favorite places in the world. I was there about 10 years ago. Spent HOURS photographing it. Also went to several other of Gaudi's buildings on that vacation, probably the best trip I ever took :)

Yay!!!! I live in Kendal which seems to have a huge population of Japanese folks- at least by judging by the sheer number of sushi places. There is this teeny one near me- that OMG - just- OMG... (this is definitely a food haven sort of place- just found a Jamaican place not too far- droools...Jamaican food is to die for!)

I know exactly where Kendal is :) And I haven't had decent Jamaican food since, well maybe since I was in Jamaica lol.

I still have several friends down in the area. One of my dearest friends works for the Miami Herald in fact. While I dislike being there as a vacation from having lived there (not like I haven't done everything so being there never feels like a "vacation" per se) I usually find myself in the area every couple of years to catch up with friends and family for one reason or another. I was there last spring for a few days, stayed in Coral Gables, which was nice. Had dinner at Normans before it closed it's doors for good.

G and I are still batting around idea for going away and a cruise is high on the list. If by some chance we do that, and the sailing port is Miami, you can be sure we'd get in touch with you (he eats sushi too :) )

Yeah, I'm with you, Tex. I've always just called it a tuna fish sandwich.

Does anyone ever have a tuna sandwich...one with nothing added to the tuna???

All the time.....I rarely hear it called tuna fish up here. We know it's fish.

For the clothes horses out there, it has come to my attention that Litle Rebel is going out of business and is having a big sale. Everything is $25L.

Sigh. There goes my inventory diet. And my evening.

Let me know if you need help. I can resist anything but a sale.

*sighs*

Not to take away from Honeybear's Great Spike Makeover, but...

A couple of days ago I met a personable but very noobish newbie and had a long conversation with him. 24 hours later he shows up at the Hangout looking VERY yummy...suit, vest, tie, hair long enough to bury your hands in (and soft enough to make the prospect appealing). Dapper mustachios and van Dyke, just enough for a faint air of menace. He did admit to having help, but...

I invited him over here, but he hasn't posted yet. Keep your eyes peeled for a fellow named "Mogartin". He may rival Spike for being a quick study. And a desirable dance partner. Ahem.

It's the thought that counts. I am sure I can find it if no one hands me the LM.
