Well- here is a looksie at my little Bridge Project... Damien and Amara pose for pix :)

And from the other side:

The fishies are swimming properly, there is a little waterspout in the middle with a light mist and the moss covered rock on the bank hides little crickets serenading you as u walk past. I wd like to add some bird critters but don't know how to make them yet

Yeah, I'm with you, Tex. I've always just called it a tuna fish sandwich.

Does anyone ever have a tuna sandwich...one with nothing added to the tuna???
Ummm, no.... That's kinda disgusting! At minimum, it must have mayo, celery, pickle relish...

And we just call 'em "tuna sandwiches" here.

Stage 6 of the Tour of California was a 15mile (24km) hilly time trial in Solvang. Some of the biggest names in cycling were there including 7 time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong and last year's Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre.

The time trial is a race against the clock. Each cyclist rides alone, starting at one minute intervals in reverse order of their current standing in the Tour with Levi Leipheimer, the current Tour leader going last.

And for the third year in a row Leipheimer (a U.S. rider with the Kazakhstan team, Astana) won the stage 6 time trial.

1. Levi Leipheimer (USA) 30min 40sec
2. David Zabriskie (USA) 30min 48sec
3. Gustave Larsson (Sweden) 30min 57sec

Good morning, threadies - the weekend's here!

@Amara...you've been a busy lady, missy. The bridge/pond/fishies are incredible. Oh! Which reminds me now to go take a look-see at your candles. :)

@Kaimi...thanks for the update. It was a good day yesterday! And Solvang's an interesting little town, isn't it? Plunked in the middle of NOWHERE, hot as heck in the summer...and founded by Swedes.

Enjoy a weekend breakfast, and enjoy your day! I hope I see you inworld. :)

OK, so ever since I came upon a parcel where this song was being played yesterday, I've been laughing about it. It's just hilarious.

For some reason that reminded of this funny song I remember from my youth -- a tad suggestive:

In case you have not seen this post - the Jira mentioned is interesting and, if correct, could explain a lot about why SL performance is only really really bad at some places.

And a cute funny, before I pop off to take care of some RL crud.

WHY MEN ARE SELDOM DEPRESSED:

Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase..
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are usually happier.
What do you expect from such simple creatures?

Interesting list. Last time I questioned something in a list I may have sparked the tuna vs. tuna-fish discussion. It's funny how the oddest things gather attention in a thread like this.

Anyway, here I go again.
"Everything on your face stays its original color. "
I don't get this one. In some circles I'm known as "Greybeard". It certainly didn't start out this color. :D Everything else on the list seemed spot on.

Stage 7, today, at the Tour of California was 88.9 miles from Santa Clarita to Pasadena.

It was aggressive from the start with attack after attack. Eventually a break was established containing ten riders. The break made it over the climb of Millcreek Summit, the second highest point on the Tour at 4905 feet.

After a rapid technical descent into Pasadena, the break began to attack itself as rider after rider attempted to get away on the five-mile circuit around the Rose Bowl stadium. Finally three men opened up a gap that proved to be the winning move. The trio dueled to the finish with Italian Rinaldo Nocentini of team AG2R crossing the line first.

I was in Pasadena near the finish line. It was extremely exciting. The riders were so fast they were a blur going past but on two of the 5 circuits I saw my favorite rider, George Hincapie, clear as anything for and instant, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!

This is from a video I made of the peleton whooshing past. I was close enough to reach out and touch them! This is Lance Armstrong in the yellow helmet and blue jersey, closest to the camera, and two time Tour of California winner and current Tour leader Levi Leipheimer in the yellow jersey and blue shorts.

From behind the awards stage:
