I just want to point out that I cleverly stretched out the Rez Day Festival, since today is my actual rez date. :D

Good morning all!!!

Happy Rez Day, Mo :)

Wow, we got a foot of snow on the ground since yesterday morning and it's still snowing  Thankfully it's the light fluffy kind that is easy to remove.

@Mo - Yea...HJ was just great, love it when he sings/dances, but the best part of all was in the end of the 'Barbara Walters Special' when he lapped dance with her..yowsers ;)

@Elora - I agree, the presentation/tributes from past winners was great and most of the nominees were thrilled also. Kate Winslet is great...I believe she is on the road as another Meryl Streep :D

All in all, a good night. Have a great day everyone

This morning was the closest I've ever gotten to a Linden... I was on a sim talking to a friend... no one on the sim but us, and suddenly I see Performance Tester pop up on my radar, which I guess is a cute name.

He disappeared by the time I explained to my friend that there are *avatars* (not money) with the last name Linden, and that they will give you a bear if you ask...

She: Will they give *me* a bear?
Me: Sure, esp. when they see how cute you are!
She: awww.... Do the Testers have bears, too?

Yes, yes, yes!! I LOVED the opening...and when Hugh finished with "and I'm Wolverine!!", my sister and I almost died laughing. We jumped to our feet and were hooting and hollering.

I'm sorry, but everytime I hear the name "Hugh Jackman", I keep thinking it's the kinda name you'd use if you were making a prank phone call.

It's a stage name.

Pep (his original surname was Joergann)

It was an awesome show...and it was over by midnight (9 pm SLT)!! I was stunned.

Good morning everyone!

I enjoyed what I could see of the show. It cut out fairly early for me...frozen screen, and no sound. My local station must have had issues. :(

But the opening number was good. It reminded me of "The Boy from Oz", but retooled for the Oscars.

Well...my network is back up now (obviously), so I'd better get some work done this morning.

The storm last night was a doozy. Heavy, wet, sticking to trees and power lines. I hope work crews get power back to everyone asap.

A must see, Dresden Gallery. Hera and I were there almost 2 hours tonight and I don't think we scratched the surface of an amazing build. Thank you my angel for our time tonight.
I have not been there in a long time - I love that place.

/me makes a note to get back there soon

I forgot last night was Oscar Night, although I wouldn't have watched it anyway. Who won "Most hideous outfit that I could never get away with if I were a real person, but since I'm a star no one will tell me how awful it is " this year?

You know, I was really surprised by this years red carpet...nothing really hideous in sight, unless I missed someone. But I have to say, Miley Cyrus----beautiful gown, but did absolutely nothing for her...she looked like a cupcake IMO. Melissa Leo...she has to be voted 'worst dressed' Absolutely ugly style & color

Yeah, the only good thing about those type of shows is the People magazine report afterwards of who tried to get away with wearing what.

@Mo - Fabulous party Sat

@Mari - So sorry I missed your party. I was planning on being there, but RL kept intervening and I was spending more time afk that actually doing anything inworld. HAPPY REZ DAY !!!

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful day. Wishing a great one to all of you.

*chokes on coffee*

Yeah...who did? :)

A few pictures from Maureen's Rez Day party. I haven't had a chance to label them all and some names I'm missing. If anyone can fill them in, feel free to comment!

Bah. I watched the thing, because Elora watched the thing. That sort of activity is usually right off my diet. But I will have to watch Slumdog Millionaire now, the movie was right off my radar.
