Ya'll? ![]() But in Miami... 1. You can properly pronounce Chickamauga, DeKalb, Dahlonega, Smyrna, Buena Vista, Valdosta, Okefenokee, and LaFayette. Change that to Calle Ocho, Okeechobee and Hialeah ![]() 2. You think people who complain about the heat in their states are sissies. Agreed- 4. You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by the distance to the door, but by the availability of shade. ABSOLUTELY! 5. Stores don’t have bags or shopping carts, they have sacks and buggies. Not here we have carts and bags. 6. You’ve seen people wear bib overalls at weddings and funerals. (Yes, sad...I know.) Yup- Sis in Law is from NY - She sas we talk funny 8. You measure distance in minutes. (It's about 20 mins. away...) 9. You listen to the weather forecast before picking out an outfit. 10. Someone you know has used a college football schedule to plan their wedding date. <snip> 26. You say “tuna fish sandwich.” Uhm- what else would it be? 29. You love sweet tea, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and all Southern comfort food . . . and Southern comfort. 'cept it's taters ![]() <snip> _____________________

/me steps close to Jerboa in the dark shadows and whispers into his ear, "Fancy finding you here all alone in the shadows. All this talk of IVs has wet my appetite too..." Gab, step away from the Jerboa....he's obviously very skittish this morning. Besides, do Jerboas make more than a mouthful? ![]() _____________________

Fun, isn't it? I just wish they worked as real vehicles. ![]() Cute picture ![]() They do. There are two cycles in there. One you rez and sit on. It has a built in circling animation. The other one you wear. And ride around like a normal vehicle. _____________________

Good morning, threadies! Happy Friday/Saturday. ![]() ![]() Yummy. I haven't had a decent cup of any kind of cooked cereal in ages. /makes note on shopping list to buy real steel cut oatmeal, not that quick microwave sissy stuff ![]() @ Bunni - loved that list. I'm from NYC originally, have lived in NJ for eons but, had spent about 3 years or so in Florida in the 80's. That list had me laughing; many things on it really hit home for me particularly the one about "on one side of the road there's a Wal-Mart and the other a cotton field" In my case, it was a K-Mart (if I remember correctly) and a cow pasture. I used to have to walk down the long road between the two of them to get to my apartment complex when I'd get off the bus from the town center of Fort Lauderdale, into Plantation where I lived. That walk, was longer than it seemed (about 3/4 mile or so) and in bad weather really daunting. Once, I saw a funnel cloud forming in the distance and all I could think was "where will I go?" and realized NOWHERE! A ditch in the pasture by the roadside, would have been my only escape ![]() Yep, the south does have it's "charms" lol. _____________________
