Yummy, I'm eating one of these pain au chocolates at my desk now. I'm also feeling very guilty for doing so, but not so guilty as to stop :)

I want this!

I saw those on the front page of the marketplace and just knew they'd get a mention here. :)

I'd drop one on your too if it was transferrable. Barring that, I went to YadNi's and got the SLURL of where it is. I suspect there's a landing point there however, so you might have to navigate to the coordinates.

I need inspiration.

I have this plot of land...a fairly level stretch just behind the seawall at Lebettu Harbor. I want to do something with it...but what?

It used to be a line of little market stalls, but I'm not formally running a rental operation there any more. Just a couple of plots for friends.

I thought about a little park. Trees, plantings, maybe a greenhouse (I actually started work on a greenhouse there, but it really stinks.) But a really lush garden build takes a lot of prims, and I'd have to buy a lot of trees and things I don't have, and I'm not that great a garden designer anyway.

A parking pad for helicopters, maybe? Used car lot? Dance pavilion? Seaside restaurant? Perpetual Yard Sale? Hamster farm?

go to botanicals inworld, gorgeous nature items and very low prims

Lol this is pretty good. But actually all those Hindu Gods are different aspects of the one creator. If we can consider everything in the material world to be delusion and all of our experiences in that delusion to be the result of karma we've made for ourselves then it all does make sense to us Hindus.

Forgive me Kaimi- I am trying to understand- are you saying that one of the tenets of the Hindu faith is that this around us- the visible world- is not real?

Speaking of religions, mythology and PBS...

I simply loved the six-part series PBS aired twenty years ago called "The Power of Myth" where Bill Moyers interviewed Joseph Campbell. I learned so much from that series.

OMG! me too! That has to be my all time favorite television program. And J. campbell's book, an Open Life, has had a profound influence on my way of thought. (and Myths to Live by).

/me waves to all the Threadies... :o Lurking again, as you see. I'm really enjoying the religions discussion. I'll try to post some of my thoughts later, got to get back to work right now.

@ Claire - this is news to me

Ok, not completely lol. We have discussed it. However, he's aware that I've never been camping before. And, I'm a Jewish girl from Brooklyn. We don't camp. It's against the natural order of things as we know it. And, while wildlife doesn't freak me out, bugs do. Oh, I'll probably be able to rustle up a damn good dinner on a campfire (s'mores although I recall having a discussion about both of us not being nuts about them, so maybe just plain old toasted marshmallows).

If there isn't a (clean!) bathroom nearby, (and a sleeping bag with nice down filling), someone is going to be a very very unhappy camper. And so am I :(

(Let's not tell Ghosty I have used the great outdoors as a public toilet before? And not while drunk either. Don't want him getting too comfortable in the knowledge that I can rough it if need be, ok?)

I don't mind spending the day in the woods....The DAY. When night comes, there is no sleeping in tents on the ground in sleeping bags. There better be a bed, in a semi pemanent structure at the very least. A cabin or RV will do, but preferably a nice inn with running water, a nice lttle bar with a fireplace is even better.

But the nice thing about tents is someone like me can wait till you're just about asleep and then roar while shaking it...

Did I mention that if I were to spend the night in a tent, I would have my shotgun with me?

Well as long as I got all the ammo it's still good

Besides you wouldn't want to risk hitting a camp mate with the shotgun blast, got to be sure where you're aiming

There would be no risk, don't worry. We're not talking Dick Cheney here.

Take 4 nieces and nephews camping with you.....

Set boom box beside tent with recording of a lion roaring................

Set alarm function on boom box to go off at 2 AM..................................

I have the distinct honor in the family of being able to get 4 kids to simultaneously pee their pants..........................................................................................

The human race has evolved beyond the need to camp. We might get a lot wrong, but we got that one right.
