From: Cael Merryman Versus pretty much is a shadow of what it was for a couple of years. For video, get a wide screen for your PC and go to www.cyclingfans.com . And to stay up on everything, including great shots of pro bikes and gear, go to www.cyclingnews.com . You can find the cycling news guys on a lot of the bike race news groups, off and on, even during the heavy Euro season period. Edited on: Can't believe I left off the best of the lot, although it is a subscription service to get it live, but for anyone that wants cycling all year round at the pro level, www.cycling.tv is the place to go. $ 60 is the cost of one tire for a year of live or near live video. Really? Versus over here in the U.S. used to be OLN (Outdoor Life Network) and has been getting better and better, showing more cycling every year since Lance's first Tour de France after cancer. Or did it used to show more and I just missed it? I do get some cycling news from the sites you mentioned and from BBC Sports sometimes. (And I really will watch more cycling on the internet if I ever get it hooked up to my big tv so I can lie on my couch while I watch! )

From: Lexxi Gynoid I've tried numerous times. I always crash, and hard, when I try to visit that place for any length of time, so I avoid it like llamas avoiding Larry Flynt.

From: Jerboa Haystack The Ivory Tower Of Primitives Thank you! I'll check that out. From: Amaranthim Talon I have a neato thing in my workshop you can play with- I will sneak in and add your name to the access list so you can come try it out- its called prim finder- great way to learn the different shapes possible- however if you find an actual answer to your question i would love to know. Oooh, thanks! That's very much appreciated! From: Marianne McCann The ivory tower has a lot on that, I believe. Also, The Sojourner (RIP) had a nice board showing much of this, which is available near the road at Yadni's Junkyard.
Is The Sojourner still around then? Or do you mean the board is? From: Lexxi Gynoid I've tried numerous times. I always crash, and hard, when I try to visit that place for any length of time, so I avoid it like llamas avoiding Larry Flynt. Have you tried it with your new computer?

From: Elora Lunasea Ok, so my boss just showed me this, it's hysterical. "Stars Wars Retold By Someone Who Hasn't Seen It" Warning - it's rather long, but worth it n_it.htmI saw all the movies - this is pretty much how I remember it.

From: Lindal Kidd I need inspiration. ... I thought about a little park. Trees, plantings, maybe a greenhouse (I actually started work on a greenhouse there, but it really stinks.) But a really lush garden build takes a lot of prims, and I'd have to buy a lot of trees and things I don't have, and I'm not that great a garden designer anyway. A parking pad for helicopters, maybe? Used car lot? Dance pavilion? Seaside restaurant? Perpetual Yard Sale? Hamster farm? There are, despite the ugliness, lots of parks in SL. Unless it's to be a calm place for yourself, I'd find something else. I'm not sure what to suggest, but I'll go with the old standby: giant 200m toilets!

From: Brenda Connolly PBS has turned into 10 minutes of programming in between 30 minutes of "fundraising". That's what happens when you get government off your back - they stop paying for stuff like public broadcasting.

From: Ghosty Kips That was the first thing that attracted me about Hinduism - everyone is right, because everyone views God differently. When Gandhi was asked if he was a Hindu, he replied "yes, and a Christian, a Muslim and a Jew". That's the epitome of tolerance and acceptance to me; disconcern about who's religion is "right", and concern that people treat each other with respect. /me gives Ghosty the secret Hindu handshake.

Speaking of religions, mythology and PBS...
I simply loved the six-part series PBS aired twenty years ago called "The Power of Myth" where Bill Moyers interviewed Joseph Campbell. I learned so much from that series.

From: Ghosty Kips Holy crap, Claire! How is that even possible!? Elora and I are going to do a little camping this summer, you're welcome to join us @ Claire - this is news to me Ok, not completely lol. We have discussed it. However, he's aware that I've never been camping before. And, I'm a Jewish girl from Brooklyn. We don't camp. It's against the natural order of things as we know it. And, while wildlife doesn't freak me out, bugs do. Oh, I'll probably be able to rustle up a damn good dinner on a campfire (s'mores although I recall having a discussion about both of us not being nuts about them, so maybe just plain old toasted marshmallows). If there isn't a (clean!) bathroom nearby, (and a sleeping bag with nice down filling), someone is going to be a very very unhappy camper. And so am I (Let's not tell Ghosty I have used the great outdoors as a public toilet before? And not while drunk either. Don't want him getting too comfortable in the knowledge that I can rough it if need be, ok?)

From: Key MacMoragh Okay. First off, I don't believe in ID. I regard the following as a half-joke, and I don't remember all my reasons or examples, but in a nutshell.
Intelligent Design says that the way the world is made, the way it fits together, is a very intricate design. The presence of a design indicates a designer.
However, the world doesn't fit together so neatly. There are oddities, such as the fact that poison ivy only affects humans.
Also, the presence of diseases, some of which are quite horrible, indicates something quite disturbing about this designer's mental health, or at least his or her intentions regarding humanity.
The apparent inconsistencies and horrible things are easily explained by assuming that there are many or at least several designers, each of whom has their own agenda, and some of whom are (to say the least) whimsical.
If you look for a living religion that could accomodate such a view, the only one that I know of is Hinduism.
QED
LMNOP Lol this is pretty good. But actually all those Hindu Gods are different aspects of the one creator. If we can consider everything in the material world to be delusion and all of our experiences in that delusion to be the result of karma we've made for ourselves then it all does make sense to us Hindus.
